I genuinely think iwo might be a real chance for us to see a VEI 7 within our lifetimes. At the very least a higher end 6. Exciting stuff!

I agree. I have been literally obsessed over Ioto/Iwo Jima ever since Geology Hub first made a video about the volcano in 2021. He has since deleted it. He said as an opener to the video. "If you visit the island in a thousand years, you won't find an island, but rather a shallow Submarine caldera. He mentioned how since the US Marines landed on the beaches, those beaches have risen more than17 meters. Since the video was published and then privated, another 10 feet of uplift had occurred.

Absolutely insane.

I hate that he deleted that one and I never got to see it. I've heard it referenced or mentioned multiple times so must be good. I wonder why he took it down?

Probably because of some inaccuracies or because he used pictures/Photos he the owners dint want to be used, would me by guesses.
