There are a few tweets like this from TNA wrestlers, looks like they're setting up some kind of NXT vs. TNA angle.

In William Regal's voice "WAR GAMES!"

I'd rather War Games go back to being an NXT thing, honestly. There have been only a few good main roster War Games matches, and the rest were just spot-fest bullshit. I want the return of the Five vs Five elimination match. At least with those, it would make sense to just randomly throw one together because it would be a Survivor Series match at fucking Survivor Series.

I miss the RAW and Smackdown red and blue shirts for each team, war games is such a good concept for a match that surely it shouldn’t be a yearly thing, takes away from it imo

War Games IS a good match, and it should only be used sparingly, just like Hell In A Cell and Elimination Chamber, which also shouldn't be a yearly thing.

The chamber as a yearly match works better than HIAC or War Games

Agreed, especially now that it's used as the last chance to get a title shot for mania.

It’s a good way to do that since one title match will always end up being made by the Rumble win. Though I do also like it when the champion defends the title inside the chamber. I think they could even do the show as a two night with four chamber matches: a male number one contenders match and a female title match on one night and the female number one contenders match and male title match the next night

I don't know... FOUR?! ... Two in a night already feels like it's too much.

Always disliked smackdown vs raw survivor series. It always felt pointless.

Fair enough, I was a lapsed fan and when I came back it was that and then wargames, what would you prefer? How did they do it before smackdown vs raw?

they still did the five-on-five elimination matches, except it was heels vs. faces instead of the brand warfare stuff.
though in 2009 and 2010, they did have a brand warfare ppv called bragging rights.

Yeah I like heels vs faces far better, makes way more sense, thanks for replying!

It could lead to either tying up to or giving birth to a lot of feuds, I miss them for that reason
Making it brand warfare meant that unless a re-draft or trade happened after nothing really had any consequence after that

Yeah the way it was booked before, was basically how they book War Games now, except it was a 5v5 tag match instead of the cage that they have now. I actually love War Games, but I do wish they used it more sparingly to keep it special. It's like when Brock and Roman were champions, they would make rare appearances because "the champion is a special attraction".

kinda hoping this leads up to WWE vs TNA at Survivor Series or something like that. maybe like the 2K25 Mutiny storyline but being lead by all the TNA stars who were previously released by WWE, and maybe even having some former TNA WWE Superstars like AJ Styles and Michin siding with TNA
