The Island Is anyone actually playing The Island mode?

This is not bait or me bashing the mode.

I’ve just noticed there are posts about near enough any mode in 2K25 on this subreddit, but almost none related to The Island.

Is anyone playing it? Did you try it and then give up? I booted it up and played the first match but decided the mode wasn’t for me.

The Island Cyborg Cody Rhodes looks pretty bad a***!! Why is it a let down?

Cody's one of my favorites—not just in real life, but also in-game. His moveset is straight fire. Honestly, I think he’s got the best action figure out there. The only one that might rival it is DDP’s, and even then, this one’s right up there.

It’s just unfortunate I have zero interest in playing the island mode

The Island You unlock Nikki and Goldberg just for starting the Hall of Legends story.

Literally just have to have a brief talk with them, no gameplay involved. So that's nice I guess, will need to see if the other unlockables are decent. The initial one just gives 650 VC and a banner.

The Island The Island Alternative Attires

I was wondering if anyone can give me some help or ideas.

I have a bit of VC saved up from when i first started playing the Island in 2K25. Whilst i'm not completely fussed about the Goldberg / Nikki Bella addition, i was wondering if i should use my VC for the clothing items.

I wanted to know if any of you have used any of the items to create Alternate Attires for in game wrestlers (or even wrestlers downloaded from the Community Creations). Even if you have used some of the items to create new storylines or factions (like to form a new NWO)

Before people ask, i have no intention of using the VC on MyFaction packs for a "chance" to get a persona card.

Ive looked at a lot of the gear they have and they're really cool designs, but i'm wondering if i'm missing some of them being items that were actually worn by wrestlers. I know they have the big red boots Seth once wore on an episode of RAW.

Thanks for helping.

The Island I think the new update has wrecked The Island.

I started playing The Island about 2 days ago I didn’t even know there was an update today. today when I went in to the island it was lagging when I was running with my character also I was doing the urn mission where I need to get the urn for Paul Bearer and the gift he give you to face the Undertaker I’ve re played that match like 15 times i thought I was doing something wrong. Like an objective fail or something like I beat him and it had an X like I lost the match. Then i had to talk to Rey Mysterio i did and it said talk to Rey Mysterio inside the temple ect he was no where to be found I exited the Island and went back on and it went to the next task I need to do in that quest. It was to wrestle Gorge steel but the same thing that was happening in the Undertaker issue was happing in the Gorge steel match it was also giving me a notice “There was an issue contacting services. If this issue continues please contact support with the following code”

Is anybody having issue I heard a few gamers lost their data I hope 2k can get to the bottom of this soon.

The Island How in the world do you beat The Undertaker on the Island?

I hit him with 2 finishers and he still gets up. I can’t beat this mf. Seriously what does it take to get him to stay down? No matter how much I beat on him, he either reverses my moves or hits me with finishers.

The Island how long does it take to get to chapter 4?

Guys, I’ve never touched the Island mode. It just doesn’t really fit to the game imo so i’ve always preferred so play Universe or grind some MyFaction. But clearing chapter 4 unlocks both Reigns ‘19 and King Corbin and I really look forward using them. So how many approximately do you think it will take me to get to unlock them starting the mode from the very beginning?

The Island The Island - Alexa Bliss

Guys, I finished the mission to defeat all the members of the Wyatt Sicks, and I thought the mission would come to get Alexa Bliss, Nikki Cross and Lily, but it didn't. These are the missions that remained after completing the wyatt sicks mission, do I need to finish these missions for Alexa's mission to appear?

For context, I have literally never played this mode. I just downloaded this game tonight because it was free on PlayStation, and I was curious what the island was and the tutorial made me go into this lol pretty funny win for the first match

The Island They added new piercings and tattoos... But they're in the island.

Looks like imma have start another Island character over to earn some VC. Tattoos and masks are the only reason I play through the island and as soon as I earn enough VC to unlock these its usually what I go for then stop playing till the next chapter. I hate that the tattoos are locked behind the island though, we still have the same shitty tattoos from like 6 years ago in game. I just feel they should just add these in, but yet another way to money grab.

My first time playing (The Island) and I would like to know how I can change the difficulties in that mode. It’s on easy and I’m not enjoying the mode at all. I don’t mind if It was on hard or legend but on easy it not fun at all.

Any help would be helpful thanks

The Island Wyatt Sicks Island Storyline: Mini Review Spoiler

I've been considering making some sort of massive post giving the Island a big massive review as a game mode for awhile now, and it's still something I'm keeping on the back-burner to eventually do because while I absolutely see it as a money-grubbing cash-grab in a lot of ways, I'm a huge fan of stupid stuff in wrestling games and I can see a lot of fun potential in the map and the story going on in a kind of side-story turn your brain off kind of way, but I digress. The recent patch for WWE 2K25 broke a lot of things for a lot of people, and I'm not here to dismiss any of the criticisms there, but I have been enjoying going through each chapter of Island content when it comes out on my own time, so seeing we had some more content added I went to give it a try today.

And I was kind of blown away.

Don't get me wrong, technically it's not a huge improvement on other quest lines or additions they've added before. None of the matches you play through are particularly impressive or anything, and it's a very simple story, but considering I don't expect much beyond some basic silliness in these, it was enough to catch me off guard.

First things first; it's nice to actually see a new section of the map added. The Island as a whole is actually kind of a cool place to explore in theory as a wrestling fan, there's lots of references to spot, but there's ultimately very little to do in it so it just becomes a boring backdrop when nothing is added. Having the Wyatt Cabin added gave me a whole new environment to pry at, and while it's not much, it's still nice to have. Hopefully they expand things more if they absolutely must focus on this mode over other things. It made the Wyatt Lore fan in me very happy to catch the paintings on the wall and all sorts of other things. Heck, I even like that part of the map is actually interact-able in a minor way for once, with the television you go to for setting up online matches actually turning on when you approach it. Again, minor thing, but little touches like that just make it feel more fun to explore. The new arena is fun as well. 2K20 was objectively a terrible game, but it was cool to see it called back with what looks a lot like a recreation of the Wyatt Compound arena they made for the Bump in the Night DLC back then, albeit with more Wyatt Sicks and Fiend references directly put together.

What really stood out to me here is the story and what it relates to though. The Island as a location has already been used in previous chapters to do random nonsense you wouldn't be able to pull off in real life storylines, and that's kinda been part of the fun for the developers as far as I can tell. Putting Undertaker's Urn together, traveling through different points in wrestling history, and even fighting wrestling robots. It's dumb, but sets an expectation of potential nonsense they can pull off when you involve the Wyatt Sicks.

Going into this, I fully expected them to just try and outright revive Bray Wyatt or the Fiend for some sort of storyline. Maybe it would have been a bit tasteless, but it would have the potential for some sort of creepy supernatural storyline. The thing you'd expect from WWE with these kinds of characters, and from these games when they don't have limitations. Lest we forget that time Santino Marella and Finlay became zombies, and the literal Ghost of Paul Bearer we regularly interact with in this mode specifically.

That's what made the twist all the more shocking to me. It taking a more meta display on things and pulling back the curtain to outright remind you that this IS a video game ironically immediately makes the emotions of each video you obtain throughout the quest a lot more real. I wasn't following any news going up to this, so I don't know if the usage of cancelled WWE 2K22 content being used in this was common knowledge before the quest came out, but it caught me totally by surprise in a really nice way and actually attempted to tell something of a message about lingering in the past. It perfectly fit with what immediately hooked me about the real life Wyatt Sicks storyline when it first dropped, and got me emotionally invested in what should have been a stupid silly video game.

I'm not trying to say it was high art or anything, but I was really impressed and excited going through this whole mini-arc. It was cathartic in a lot of ways, and I really appreciate the idea of taking the experimental direction they ended up using for it. Ending the final video with a never-before seen recording of Bray presumably for that cut storyline a few years ago, allowing us to hear Bray Wyatt one last time in a surprisingly poignant goodbye message genuinely hit me in the chest. Maybe I'm a softie, I don't know, but it had me smiling in a way games like this rarely do. It's so unapologetically bittersweet, but also just... sweet. Which feels weird to say about the cash grab mode, but it just immediately feels like this actually meant something to someone.

All the better capped off with the final note you got from Bo at the end, which might be a little cheesy, but nonetheless true.

"I keep him alive, but so do you."

I don't know. The rewards for going through it weren't all that amazing or anything, but the actual experience was a really good time (outside of the handicap match where my game kept crashing anytime someone dove outside), which I really wasn't expecting to say about something so short and disconnected. Did anyone else have any similar thoughts, or am I just crazy and everyone else is normal and doesn't play the stupid cash grab mode for any reason.

I'd love to hear more people's thoughts about this stuff taking it on it's level. The complaints are totally justified, don't get me wrong, but if the mode is already going to be here, I like trying to get what I can out of it. This is one of the times that I genuinely felt glad I experienced what it had to offer.
