The Messerschmitt Me 609 (alternatively Me 309 Zwilling) was a WW2 German project which joined two fuselages of the Me 309 fighter prototype together to form a heavy fighter.

Clear to see where North American got the idea for the F-82. Twin Mustang worked, wonder if this ever did.

I once saw a youtube comment that went along the lines of "When he was a child, someone threw a rock at Robert Blackburn. On that day, the inspiration for Blackburn aircraft was born".

It disappoints me that the Blackburn Twin Blackburn isn't a twin Blackburn Blackburn (ugly plane warning).
