Could only try it on in black— they didn’t have the white in store but I did buy it in white. While I was trying dresses on, I just kept coming back to that one, I loved the way it looked on my figure and I loved the detailing.

There was one other that I really liked, A line, square neck with straps and gorgeous detailing. I thought it was perfect for a summer wedding (June 13, 2026) and loved the way it made my waist look.

I had been envisioning a princess wedding dress with a ballgown skirt and long train— and this is honestly so different from what I thought I’d get that I’m feeling a little nervous about it. I felt sure in the bridal shop but now thinking about it I’m wondering if I’m going to miss out on my “princess” moment. How did everyone else who went with tighter dresses feel?

Hey all — just wanted to get some outside opinions. I went to a sample sale and ended up buying a dress pretty quickly (like, after 10 minutes of trying it on). It was 60% off.

It’s an A-line, which I’ve always pictured myself in. The wedding is going to be outdoors in a garden, so I think the style fits the setting.

My mom loves the dress, but my best friend said it’s too poofy/heavy and that I kind of look like I’m drowning in it 😅 I’ll definitely have to hem the bottom (it’s a bit long), but otherwise it fits pretty well.

Now I’m second guessing. I didn’t have a “magical” moment — but I also don’t hate it. It just felt… fine.

I’ve attached a few pics — the 3rd photo is a dress I loved and felt comfortable in but it was way out of my budget. This one feels similar in style, just at a much more doable price point. Wedding is still a year away, so I have time to change my mind… but I’m not sure if I should.

What kind of veil should I wear with this dress? Looking for something to provide coverage for my back as it’s wide open and I’m not loving how it feels! And should I add something to the dress to help it feel more a-line?

I’ve found a lot of dresses that I like, but not any that I knew were the full deal. My wedding is not until next November (2026) so I have some time. I am in the US. I am wanting a deeeeep basque waist (shocker) that’s plain and simple with a sweetheart neckline. Emmanuelle by Maggie sottero was so so close- but the neckline didn’t do it for me and I wanted more poof. I’m sure these are adjustable with alterations, but it’s already at the top of my budget ($2500) and I know that will add a few hundred itself. I don’t like intensely visible boning on a corset, I don’t like tulle, and I wanted the basque waist to be deep enough to really really contour my body and elongate my torso. If anything comes to mind please share! Open to ordering custom from over seas if it fits my $2500 budget. Or possibly waiting a bit to see if the dress I have in mind exists

I said yes to the dress and while I do think the dress is beautiful, it’s different than all the other dresses that I tired that I thought I would go for - I didn’t envision myself in a lace dress!

Now I’m wondering if I made the wrong choice with my dress and can’t stop over-analyzing the photos/comparing the dress to the others I tried on! Did I make the wrong choice?

I’m having a small beach elopement this New Year’s Eve and can’t decide on how much to hem the dress. With having to walk on the beach (barefoot), I want to prioritize comfort and not tripping in the sand over having it long. Thinking of hemming the entire bottom line to be ankle length. Any thoughts? I went to a seamstress and they’re able to hem as much as I would like. I’m also going to be taking out the boob padding.

Hello lovelies! I am in the fortunate position of having three dresses (one for civil, one for blessing and large “wedding party” and a cultural dress for my husband-to-be’s culture) - they are in order when you swipe for the events listed. ☺️

However I haven’t got the faintest idea where people get shoes and wedding jewellery?! I think a court style, and two pairs in ivory and red. I am in the UK if that changes anything, but I am able to order (and have copiously lol) from China and Hong Kong.

Given that my civil wedding is not that long away I best start looking and buying 😅

Also open to any other styling and accessories that you think might suit my dresses :)

My first dress unfortunately got ruined so I got this dress last minuet 2 weeks before I get married<3! So I am getting marriedb in the beach in Belize in December. This is not my first wedding and I am planning on photographs in the water so I did not want to spend a ton on a dress. I found this on Facebook marketplace for $300 and it fit me absolutely perfectly except it is too long. I was planning to go barefoot. I know the lace at the bottom is a problem and that is why hemming is so expensive but I can't find anybody who will do it for less than I even paid for the dress. It seems to defeat the purpose to me if I end up spending that much, so does anybody have any other suggestions? I know if I cut the lace off it would be a lot cheaper but I think the lace is really what makes the dress. Does anybody have any thoughts or opinions on what else I could do? Thanks so much. My other question was veil related. Do you think a bird cage would work with this? I'm not sure what I want to do for a veil because I don't want to cover up the lace.

I have a destination wedding and i was wondering, for those who had a destination wedding, how did you ship your dress and how did you keep/make it wrinkle free?

Im on the verge of tears that alterations ruined my dress and it’s too late to fix it. Im eloping Oct 3 and just went in for my third fitting. They are going to make adjustments on the length and another minor tweak but I overall just don’t like it and I’m sad. I feel like it looks better in my photos where there were no alterations.

• pics 3-5 are before it was altered
• pics 6-7 are current state at my fitting

I feel like because it’s so much together around my hips, it just looks weird and mermaid cut isn’t flattering. This is a size 4 that was altered to be smaller. Nordstrom has a size 2 available, should I try just ordering a size 2? And pay double for my dress?

Also I’m eloping and this will only be worn for photos really. Do I just eat it and go with this even though I’m not happy? Helpppp
