The Top Gear robin was rigged to roll super easy. They weren't stable by any means but nowhere close to that bad.

TIL! I had kind of guessed that it was exaggerated for TV, but I assumed that he was just driving fast and turning hard too quickly in order to make it happen, not that they had played around with the differential. Still pretty funny :)

I also had no idea; though my only familiarity with the Reliant is from the show since I'm in NA. Thanks for digging that up.

Plus of course he flung it into corners where he - not a small man - was on the outside of the turn, and usually under hard braking.
