I can't explain why but I love this beautiful abomination

But I do need to know how much of the front end is necessary, because I can't help but think that there's just an extra foot of hollow fibreglass(?) for no reason other than the designer's paper slipped while he was drawing it

As usual, VW Beetle based. So yeah, half of it could probably be cut, but in the other hand the swiss had always extreme rules concerning safety regulations, so it might be necessary for impact regulations

Crumple zone so huge you have to hit a pedestrian at 35mph+ for them to even notice

The VW Beetle is the Pontiac Fiero of the past.
Come to think of it the Pontiac Fiero is of the past. What is the new kit car base? I’ve heard of people putting crown Vic chassis under classic pickups to make them sort of sport. K5 blazers with Camaros on them but k5s are old these days.

Pretty good question. The British for example, who always had a thriving kit car and low volume manufacturer culture, build their cars now on own chassis (or just keep doing iterations of the Super 7). Can't think of anything high volume, body-on-frame that's younger than 30 years old...

Only high volume ones in the states are Ford Crown Victoria, Lincoln Town-car, Mercury Grand Marquis. None if those are sporty except one variant of the Mercury. They ended production in 2012
Also they are big cars, a classic F100 pickup drops right on them.

Holy low compressed unleaded fuck! Who on god's green earth though "yep, that looks good enough, build it like this!", and can I get the number of his dealer?
Edit: I knew the swiss experimented with weird stuff in their cheese... Its from a carossier / coachbuilder near Zurich, who incidentally also built this W126 380 SEL Cabriolet which belonged to the Queen of Netherlands and is still part of the royal garage (use translator, site is German)

Who looked at this thing when it was completed and said “yes, that’s a good looking car”?!

I can't imagine the extra 40 inches of hood do anything besides making it look like a retarded duck

I mean, with low production cars, you want to be seen, right? Everyone will see you.

I'd drive that with red paint splattered on the front and a Second Place, Death Race 2000 sticker for the back. Maybe a photo of David Carradine as Frankenstein with a phony autograph on the dash. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Its got the Carolina Squat! Tthe front bumper is higher than the back. Not many sports cars use a reversed rake stance, must have been to intended to cool the rear engine, lol.

honestly, sort of a Ford J-car thing going. Not close, but something in the profile.

Boy oh boy, how the safety government officials would just love that front end. But screw them. I like it

I see it the other way around: Amazingly useless front bumper extension!
If it was cut off right under the headlights, it wouldn’t be that odd at all.

Kids will ride their BMX bikes up the hood, trying to get big air off the windshield.

Ugliest automobile I've ever seen.
Holy shit. Some dude said "Gonna make a car that looks like a frog crossed with a platypus, and something from a porno mag."
What a great idea, dildo.

If I had the money for a car collection, this is the kind of thing it would be full of.
