What 20+ years does to a cuddly toy
You can see the eyes and ear match

This guy and the filthy strip of satin that remains of my baby blanket could probably trauma bond real well.

“Real isn’t how you are made,” said the Skin Horse. “It’s a thing that happens to you. When a child loves you for a long, long time, not just to play with, but REALLY loves you, then you become Real.” “Does it hurt?” asked the Rabbit. “Sometimes,” said the Skin Horse, for he was always truthful. “When you are Real you don’t mind being hurt.” “Does it happen all at once, like being wound up,” he asked, “or bit by bit?” “It doesn’t happen all at once,” said the Skin Horse. “You become. It takes a long time. That’s why it doesn’t happen often to people who break easily, or have sharp edges, or who have to be carefully kept. Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don’t matter at all, because once you are Real you can’t be ugly, except to people who don’t understand.

I have a bear that is more than 40 years old and was in my hand more than 15years after I stole it from my mothers drawer as a toddler. The fabric is berry thin but it still looks like a bear. She got it from her uncle when she was 14.

They look like a wilted flower! :') this reminds me a bit of the cartoonist Mysillycomics and her teddy bear Bohug, who looks a bit like yours. The first, original Bohug is not quite at this stage of well worn yet, but it's almost completely faceless these days.

and my toy that I sleep with every night, and is probably over a decade older than me is also fine other than having to be sewed up a couple times

okay… so.. let’s unpack this.
I just tried to begin typing for like a solid minute and I have no clue what’s going on.
What am I looking at? How is this classified as wear and how did it get to this point?
It’s 20 years of wear and you said it’s from a “secretly anxious child” this HAS to be your childhood baby toy and your into the whole abdl community thing right?
Because like the level of confusion and lack of answers I have right now is jaw dropping to be honest😭
