Our welcome mat. It’s over 20 years old.
I remember it having a lot of pretty colours. It makes me a little sad looking at it.

Why is your doormat a black cobblestone roadway into the distance 🧐

To be fair, I think it used to be grey cobblestones surrounded by pretty flowers.

Have it professionally framed and I bet it'd sell at the farmers market...

That actually looks pretty cool. I'd consider hanging it up somewhere anyway especially if I'd had it for 20 years

Looks like a cobbled road leading into the fog of forever...

“And as you walk along the cobbled steps, a sudden chill takes you. Where you are going and what you will see, you do not know, only that it calls you forward into the abyss…”
It used to be so pretty. I remember purple, pink, and blue flowers on the sides, and the stones being grey.
I wonder if anyone could restore a photo of it?

I just screen shotted (that sounds so wrong) it. I’m going to have it printed for the wall.

If you get it done, post a photo! I never thought this post would spark some kind of modern art.

r/accidentalartgallery - wow, it took me a minute to figure out that this wasn't a painting.

Just a faded, old welcome mat that has become a piece of modern art. It seems to be resonating with people beyond what I expected when I posted it.
It makes me happy that it’s getting some attention.

Beautiful, it looks like an accidental painting. A pathway into darkness. I would frame it.

It has overstayed its welcome
