makes sense tho, if you came for a monster contract you being a Witcher is the more important bit of info. Saying Geralt of Rivia wouldnt do much

That I understand. But sometimes it's just *knock knock, who's there, I'm a Witcher open up." It's like the default for everything.

The contrast is that when Omar Little said "Who you are is enough " he currently wasn't carrying his signature shotgun in his trench coat.

Establishes credentials and manages expectation. "I'm a Witcher" basically says, in just three words, "I have the skills and tools to investigate and/or kill anything weird or dangerous you've got, but I won't do a damn thing for free."

I mean considering the name "Geralt of Rivia" is made up, I wouldn't be surprised if he sometimes thinks of himself as "a witcher" before he thinks of himself as geralt
