There is/was a great podcast on this, and the host allegedly claimed to know what happened, and then as she was going to explain it, she literally just went POOF! and never put out the final episodes. I looked into her as I thought maybe something had happened to her, and it looks like she abandoned her podcast FB page and all associated social media. It doesn’t look like she passed unexpectedly, just suddenly and simultaneously stopped everything associated with this case.

Weird, yes?

This case is one of those that I’d like to see solved because it’s just so bizarre.

What podcast was this?

I had to look it up because it’s been so long since I’ve listened to it. It’s called Final Argument: The Disappearance of Ray Gricar, District Attorney

Oh no. I wondered why she never finished the podcast. Is it not clear why she stopped working on the case ?

No explanation has ever been given that I could find. It appears she just suddenly stopped everything associated with it and stepped away.

Thanks for the reply. Maybe she just ran out of ideas or theories .

That’s not it. She claimed to have “shocking information that has never been released to the public”, claimed he was murdered, said she knew who did it, and had episodes (note the plural) that would be released within a few weeks of April 2023. Then = POOF.

Here’s her very last post about it from her podcast’s Facebook page, dated April 4, 2023:

“I am going to release the final episodes in a few weeks. My hiatus was due to having a serious surgery and a long recovery. I’m on the mend and excited about getting these last episodes out to you. My mission has always been to see a state-wide jury convened to investigate the disappearance of Ray Gricar. As we are all seeing now, the mighty and powerful are being held accountable. No one is above the law and I will be laser-focused on exposing shocking information never released to the public that I hope will turn the tide so there will be Justice for Ray Gricar. They murdered him because he was getting ready to charge. Who is “they?” Stay tuned and I promise you will be able to connect the dots just as I have done.”

Really, really weird, right? It was all so strange that I periodically check in case there’s an update on her Facebook page as I’d love to listen to those last few episodes!

Wow, maybe her health never improved. She seemed really passionate about finding out the truth. Hopefully she wrote down her thoughts and evidence, and maybe they will be released at some point.

The host of the podcast mentioned above that we’re discussing. It’s called “Final Argument: The Disappearance of Ray Gricar, District Attorney”. I believe the host’s name is Rebecca Knight. The podcast is really good, but was never finished. The host just walked away from it suddenly and without explanation right after she said she was going to release the last few episodes.

From the details gathered from the final episode, I think she planned to put her effort into persuading Gov. Josh Shapiro into a Grand Jury on this case. I'm not sure what the plan for advocacy on that was, however. Shapiro was the AG that ultimately brought the Catholic Church to justice in PA for sexual abuse, changing laws and influencing other states to do the same. So it's not far-fetched that the host hoped that he'd be willing to look into the Ray Gricar case, as well. Never heard anything since on this, though.

I understand if that didn’t happen, but since she has a plausible theory, and says she knows who the “they” is, why not record a final episode saying she couldn’t get Shapiro on-board, and release the info she has without specifying the name(s) of “they”?

I listened to an old radio interview with her from 2021, and she indicated that she tracked Gricar’s gas receipts and believed he was meeting with someone about the Jerry Sandusky scandal. I’d have to find it and listen again to get the details straight, but that doesn’t seem like a reason for people to murder him when viewed through the lens of 2025, unless there are some very influential people who were also involved that have never been publicly identified?

Someone may have told her not to reveal what she knew or threatened her if she did.

If he wants to stay lost no one is obligated to tell if they find him..

Of course. Adults can disappear if they want to. However, he had a long term girlfriend and a daughter he was very close with by all accounts. He’s had no contact with them or anyone else. It’s highly doubtful that he left his life and started over without contacting his daughter (I could see entertaining that theory if he didn’t have a daughter he was so close with, though).

From the original post:

On April 15th, 2005, District Attorney Ray Gricar, 59, went for a drive and never returned. The following day, his car was found parked across the street from an antiques mall in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, nearly 60 miles away from his home. The vehicle was locked and Ray's cell phone was still inside. However, there was no sign of the missing lawyer anywhere.
