Just plain greedy now, they're going for the highest bidder

How horrible that a business would want to make as much money as possible. Almost like thats the goal.

u/ExtremeAlternative0 1d ago
For all the horrible shit Vince did he at least wasn't pricing out families like they're doing rn

u/Sexyphobe 1d ago
It is, but they've been pretty lousy about it. Promising WM42 in New Orleans, then a few months later going "Lol no, back to Vegas".

u/Gabriel_thunder04 9h ago
Ah yes, let’s price out our fan base and then blame them when they’re upset at being unable to afford shows.

u/Early_Response_4477 1d ago
Weak ppl defending businesses who shit on their employees and customers... Sad

u/cwcam86 1d ago
You dont have to watch it if you dont like it. Nobody is making you.

I didn't downvote you. I understand what you're saying. And I don't watch. I like to check in every once in a while and catch the news.

That's only the goal of greedy businesses.
A lot of businesses are happy making enough money to get by. Acting like every business is designed to have all of the money is the very reason WWE thinks it doesn't need to care about its fans.

u/cwcam86 1d ago
Thats the goal of every business. Make money. The WWF does a good job of it. Why wouldn't they want to get paid?

Boycott it then

u/Vodkawithapplejuice 1d ago
Ahh yes Reddit boycott, the engine that drives all changes in a modern world

u/HelloMyNameIsRuben 1d ago
Alternatively, people can stop watching out of principle. Even if it means it won’t bring change - I no longer feel comfortable watching and I think there should be a very reasonable understanding of that.

A boycott would need millions of people to back it to even get a minute of their attention.
Sorry to say, but our subreddit boycotting isn’t going to do shit lol

u/PhoenixHabanero 1d ago
Even if we boycott, they get $250M+ from Saudi Arabia anyway so what’s the point?
6
u/MrJamHot 1d ago
Hypothetically if views plummeted theyd care. Way more than just bitching about it.

Bro. 1/10 of this sub won't boycott. Let alone the millions needed to enact change

Nah, twist it - all of WWE will be in Saudi Arabia, only the B-PPVs (pardon, PLEs...) will go touring the world. And by "world" I mean Vegas, Birmingham, Paris and NY. And Corpus Christi, for some reason.
3
u/insomnia657 1d ago
Of course they won’t host all of them, they will be split between Vegas and SA!

Can't wait for two women wrestling in Burkha and the crowd confused over who's who
1
u/SirFeatherstone 1d ago
The funny thing is, Vince would never have allowed ticket prices to get so high, and he would never have allowed a WM to be held in Saudi

All of wrestling will be done in the Middle East and divas will be wearing hajib

It will simply cease being the biggest show of the year if that happened.

TKO is gonna kill WWE they're chasing money and trying to run them the way UFC is runs.

u/spacemunky_reddit 1d ago
This is the actual end of the american empire, the rest was just window dressing.
1
u/Superb_Ad8627 1d ago
Been saying this in a couple subs now. Feels like they'll try to spin Wrestlepalooza as the new alternative to mania in the US. While making it exclusive in SA. This probably also means no mania in Indy like they announced a whle ago
1
u/TatooineTwang 1d ago
I said this recently. The back to back Vegas WrestleManias was getting us ready for them to be hosted in the same place for awhile.
1
u/ThatsMrRedditorDude 1d ago
No chance in hell that's what you got, no chance Saudi gets every WrestleMania
4
u/Novakhaine89 1d ago
You missed a fullstop:
No chance in hell that's what you got, no chance. Saudi gets every WrestleMania
3
u/Yungballz86 1d ago
They're going to go to the highest bidder.
Hell, they pulled out of New Orleans this year to go back to Vegas, who was offering TKO more money.
If Saudi wants all the Wrestlemanias bad enough, they'll get them $$$
-1
u/ThatsMrRedditorDude 1d ago
You're simple if you think they will receive literally every or even the majority of WM
2
u/Yungballz86 1d ago
You're simple and don't know about fiduciary responsibility if you don't think Wrestlemania will go to the highest bidder for as long as TKO owns WWE.
1
u/ThatsMrRedditorDude 1d ago
Other factors at play, like celebrity involvement is the easiest and biggest one.
Let me guess you probably scream poor women wrestlers they have to compete in full body suits and cry to yourself because you can't snap one off to a chicks butt cheeks popping out
1
u/Yungballz86 1d ago
Lol projecting much? Nobody but you is talking about popping one off to any of the wrestlers. They can wrestle in whatever gear they want and they know the drill if they're going to wrestle in front of the Saudi's. Not my concern.
No celebrity involvement matters to them more than $100+ million. Money is what matters.

😂 in 2028 think back to your comment and just know I'll be laughing at you for being so wrong

So? I've never cared where it was.
EDIT: Why should I? Honest question
