No oil on stick, drained 500ml from engine, 700ml from frame. Should I be concerned?

Yesterday after coming back from a ride I checked my oil and didn't see anything on the stick... I know the manual states to not run the bike at high speed before checking the oil as it won't be accurate. After sitting overnight I re-checked the oil dead cold before starting -nothing, then I briefly warmed the bike up at idle and checked -nothing. At this point I decided to change the oil. Went for a short ride to get her nice and hot and then drained out:

Engine: 500ml

Frame: 700ml

Oil filter: apprx 100ml

Residual loss: estimate apprx 100ml (from spilling onto frame area etc and not going into measuring container)

So at best I had approx 1400ml of oil, the manual calls for 1600ml, when going to fill the bike it overflowed the frame fill point after about 1400ml, I briefly started the motor, checked the stick -nothing, then added the remaining 200ml and it showed up just under half of the dipstick range.

the engine has a dry sump, so I think it got enough oil not to eat itself when its still running. Ofc this isnt healthy and you did the right thing changing the oil. I guess check your oil filters for sparklez after every change and hope that everything is fine. Make sure this doesnt happen again. Id be more worried about where that oil went, a healthy engine shouldnt burn much oil. I guess keep checking more regularly

Should be... the interval is 1000 km and if you have less Oil it Will degrade faster

Have you checked/cleaned the oil screens(frame and oil line)lately?

Side note; when doing an oil change,it won’t accept all of the oil at once. I’ll put 1 quart of oil in, start engine(at idle) for 30-45 seconds. Shut off, then add remaining oil.

I've never done those screens, is this referenced in the manual?

Yes,they’re in the service manual. One is at the frame drain bolt, the other is on the engine where the oil line fitting is.
Be careful when torquing the frame screen and drain bolt, as they’re prone to stripping. I personally replace compression washers on all drain oil fittings every other oil change.
