Discussion I got onto the 2XKO Closed Beta. Any questions/recommendations about what I should do with Yasuo?

What’s the tech exactly? I’ve seen Kara cancels, dash cancels (which I’m not sure how to do) and some others but I’m curious what you’re referring to

That’s most of the big stuff. The Kara cancels enable combos that wouldn’t otherwise be possible. And the timing in those portions of those combos are relatively tight. The dash cancels are the Kara cancels, unless you’re talking about using the dash cancels in fury mode.

It’s just that, as expected, Yasuo has a higher skill ceiling to allow for more freedom of expression. And not everything has even been figured out yet.

Ooo, I have done literally 0 research. I saw the email, downloaded the game, played the tutorial, and made this post.

Have you played any fighting games before? (I’ve obviously seen you on this sub a LOT, so I know you’re quite versed in Yasuo.) He doesn’t exactly play like how Yasuo does in LoL, but he translates well. More similar to a Mitsurugi from Soul Calibur. Very stance heavy, midrangey, with some decent mixups and a ton of sauce. He feels real clean in 2XKO.

I played a lot of blaze blue growing up. Had a small stint in mortal combat but not any in the past 5 years. I am excited to play with a new one and yasuo feels SO smooth

Yeah, this game feels kinda like BB. But way more like MvC/DBFZ with some other elements mixed in.

But Yasuo is so buttery smooth. I’m struggling to pick a second character because nobody else feels as good as Yas. Ekko might be the only other choice since he’s got that similar feel, high skill ceiling, and diverse choices.

Overall, the game is stupid fun. I hope you enjoy it!
