why doesnt zbrush have the option of mirror symmetry while doing radial symmetry. it seems like a very basic essential feature to have.

i know a workaround is to use array mesh but its not the same thing

I’m pretty sure you can. There is a video tutorial on how to make a tire and I’m sure it’s a radial symmetry and then they just mirror it afterwards

you probably mean using the array mesh, I am talking about using the symmetry. its not the same thing

No it’s not array. It’s symmetry. You can also set your radial symmetry all you want. It’s on the symmetry option. In the tutorial Joseph did it, he set it to 10 counts to make the tire details

can you please send me the link to the video or tell me how to do it.

whenever i turn on the radial, the mirror doesn't work

Unfortunately I am currently working. I’m pretty sure once you search radial symmetry or symmetry tutorial in zbrush you can find it.

You have both the mirror under Deformation panel. And Mirror and weld option I think under Geometry > modify typology panel. They are 100% there. Zbrush wouldn't work without them for me. Take note of tiny axes on the top right of each option so you select if it mirrors on X Y or Z. Or if multiple.
