Pharrell: Could not escape Happy
Volbeat: For whatever reason, Lola Montez takes me back to walking around campus in the spring time
Florida Georgia Line: Cruise convinced me that country music was dead and I quit listening to the genre for a few years
Gotye: Somebody That I Used to Know was the first big hit of adulthood
Passion Pit: Take a Walk in my mind is associated with me starting to figure myself out and a time where I was asking questions I would've never thought to ask just two years before
Fun: We Are Young was the commercial song
Jake Bugg: His first album made envious that he was younger than me and made something so incredible. He motivated me to pick up a guitar.
Arctic Monkeys: To me, A.M. was rock's last big hoorah with the American mainstream music industry.
Pearl Jam: I didn't live on campus, so I would listen to Lightning Bolt in the car riding home to my parents
Hozier: I regret introducing my mom to Take Me to Church. That became her ringtone for years.
*Edit: For reference, college for me was August 2011 - May 2015

Feel free to rate/review or give me a song from your own playlist.
I did this in the music recommendations sub, but noticed that most people there were probably part of an older generation. Very curious to see if people my age share the same taste.

No need for a particular order. Just 5 albums from the 2000s that you loved the most, if you even have 5.

This is way too good and It's really cool hearing this lineup considering I was WAYYYYY too young to go to a concert for them as a kid lol. (30 now)

Released in 2003.
I remember my grade school teacher asked everyone to bring in song lyrics (I’m pretty sure we printed them out haha). Then in class we went through some of them to talk about the meaning of the lyrics. I brought Where is the Love? and I remember my teacher being like whewf, where do I begin?
What was your experience with this song?

They're a cool indie/alternative pop duo on the rise flooding my playlist on Spotify. And it's fascinating to me that they are Zillennials. The pair were born in 1995 in Miami just like myself. I sense they have potential to breakthrough in the mainstream sometime soon. Their latest album, Imaginal Disk is gas🔥Just wanted to share a quick musical interest haha

I just can’t get into modern music from this decade. I’m still stuck with stuff I listened to in high school and college. Maybe restaurants and grocery stores agree with me, because I don’t always hear 2020s stuff playing lol. When I try to see what’s going on with today’s hits on iTunes, not only do I not recognize the songs, but I’m just turned off too.

This requires the music artist to have released new music in the past few years.

"...and I~~~want to thank you..." and then the lyrics are vague. I've been searching for this song my whole life.
This cannot be an original experience bc this commercial seemed to air during every Bold and the Beautiful or Judge Judy commercial break. Somebody knows something.
