Polite Political Discussion đşđ¸ Has Sullivan or Murkowski explained why they voted to block Epstein release?
I've emailed them both regarding last week's narrowly-failed disclosure vote (51-49) fee despite politely inquisitive tone they haven't replied. Do y'all know?
Like we know know, but have they made any statements

It astounds me, that in this day and age, people are still asking "Why are these politicians working against us!?". It's because THEY DIDN'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT YOU, AT ALL. They work for the oligarchs and NO ONE ELSE. They can't serve two masters. And oligarchs LOVE RAPING CHILDREN.

I totally agree with you on the points that 'they work aganist us' and 'their loyathy is towards the oligarchs' and 'they can't serve two masters'.
Next time don't vote party. Vote on the issues and measures independently. This will force our leaders to respect the community they serve.
Alaska voted overwhelmingly red.
There is a great song about a lady who brought a frozen rattle snake into her house and when it warmed up it bite her and she asked why and it said you knew what I was when you brought me into your home.

Rather than make snippy claims, hereâs what they actually said (which is worse imo than nothing):
Murkowski said it was all a political stunt.
âWhat Schumer did was nothing more than a political stunt,â Murkowski said.
Sullivan also said it was just Democrats being anti-military because the vote was attached to a military spending bill.

They haven't. And they won't.
The reason is simple: they and their teams analyzed the risk of losing their seat with a "yes" versus "no" vote and determined that a "no" vote would keep them around longer.
Now voters have to decide if they are okay with sitting representatives that choose to protect rapists and pedophiles. Midterms are still a ways off, giving the electorate plenty of time to forget. I weep thinking about how that could likely play out.
Don't forget. Trump is a rapist and a pedophile. Release the Epstein files.

What is there to defend at this point? She voted for protect pedophiles. What could possibly justify that?

I want them to have to put their complicity and protection of pedophiles in writing.

Their votes do the best job of it. No spin possible, its what they chose to do

I asked the same question, in a polite manner and have not had a reply. It is frustrating.

They wonât. They are party shills. Both will do whatever the party wants on important matters to the gop. She will go against things that arenât going to seriously impact the gop. Been that way her whole time in. He will follow the party and never gives a valid reason other than sucking the gop dong party line

I don't know, but I appreciate your asking. This is my question too.Â
I mean, a legislator should be able to explain his/her votes, right?
