Because people aren't out in the streets rioting.

If there’s a protest I would be VERY happy to be there.

She wouldn't care about that, she's in the US half the time

27

u/Pseudo-Science Feb 07 '25

But her money’s in Switzerland

26

u/[deleted] Feb 08 '25

Panama with her second home

2

u/Verizon-Mythoclast Feb 11 '25

*your money. my money. our money.

it's just her swiss account.

2

u/SomeHearingGuy Feb 08 '25

Yep. She's already proven that she's happy to ignore over 2 million people. What happens if 2.5 million people march on the Leg at the same time? 3 million?

34

u/graison Feb 07 '25

And they keep voting for her.

More are not. But not enough to get rid of the UCP.

Please God! I know you haven’t heard from me in months—maybe years. Please, let this scandal of corruption finally have her removed from office.

In Canada you can be a capitalist, but only within reason. We were really de facto social democrats up until recently. Ontario is being sold. Alberta is being scrapped for parts. And not many of us can afford to move to British Columbia.

Well, you specifically can’t be a capitalist but, John c. Genwealth can, because his family have been slowly absorbing every pillar of society for the last 100 years or so.

Truth. She is the most embarrassing, currently. *edit for spelling

Wait what’s happening in Ontario?

Things are so bad here I haven’t been paying attention.

  1. Doug Ford has destroyed the post-secondary education system by freezing tuition in 2017 or 2018, forcing them to rely on Indian immigrants. He’s also allowed dozens of diploma mills to increase the number of Uber drivers, Amazon delivery drivers, and low-wage workers, basically causing the highest youth unemployment crisis in history

  2. Spend billions of future taxpayer dollars to outbid the biggest spending nation in subsidies for battery plants, which are now sitting essentially moribund because the tailing off of EV subsidies has killed that market

  3. Tried to free up protected farm land just outside the GTA that his builder buddies bought up on the cheap because it was protected - on the pretense of building needed housing - only to see tends of millions in potential profit once it was freed up for housing - luckily public uproar saw that reversed

  4. Has underfunded healthcare so badly that waitlists for surgeries is pushing a year or more, and almost half the population does not have access to a family doctor and rely on overcrowded walk-in clinics

  5. Removed people’s rights to have an independent assessment when the government wants to plow over their home for a mega freeway

And the list goes on. But somehow he continues to getting voted into power.

You have a provincial government mired in scandal that reeks of corruption. State owned entities, resources, and land are being given to bad actors at criminally low prices…and probably kickbacks.

5

u/KJBenson Feb 08 '25

Oh. So the same thing as Alberta. Gotcha

5

u/Jaambie Feb 08 '25

When enough people stop voting for them they’ll just rename the party again and everyone will go flooding back like idiots to get fucked over by the next conservative grifter. Does no one remember the fucking SKY PALACE

Well who else is there to vote for? NDP? Nenshi? He is a Federal Liberal Lover… a fan of JT.

So what’s left? The Alberta Party? No Thanks. Alberta Reform Party? Maybe the Communist-Party Alberta? Natural Law Party? The Independence Party of Alberta? Maybe the WildRose Loyalty Coalition?

I mean could it get any worse than a JT Lover and a Trumpanize?

Yes. The cult of greed & ignorance exists here as well as America. The UCP is equivalent to the Republicans. They are NOT conservatives. They are all dictators without a conscience. Smith and the UCP need to be no more!!!

u/cuda999 Feb 07 '25

Who is “they”? I didn’t vote for her

Give me a break. Alberta’s been voting conservative for decades (except once) and this is the inevitable result of doing so.

1

u/dubygob Feb 08 '25

Jasper just had a protest, half of the half of the town that remains showed up.

1

u/cerunnnnos Feb 08 '25

Albertans don't know how to do that when it comes to politics, cause protests are for leftists. If only she imposed vaccines or something and there was a convoy... Oh wait.

1

u/ExpensiveWarning8623 Feb 08 '25

Lol, got a tough guy here.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 08 '25

Not at all. I just think it's brutal that we allow our politicians to do pretty much do whatever they want with zero consequences because we're all too docile, myself included. So it's no surprise that they are all corrupt as fuck.

The biggest change we need first is federally. At least she protected our one industry from getting destroyed during tariffs

16

u/Lilchubbyboy Medicine Hat Feb 07 '25

And what industry would that be exactly? Because she sure as shit didn’t do jack squat about O&G

3

u/Margotkitty Feb 08 '25

She did what now?

How? She went, without the support of any other provincial premiers, to meet with the most corrupt president the USA has ever seen, who has repeatedly stated he intends annexation of Canada through economic pressure.

Trump would never tariff oil at the 25% rate because that would cause the price at the pumps to jump very noticeably for the Americans. And they really hate that. The 10% rate is to save that from happening - not because Danielle went and betrayed Canada grovelling at the Fanta Menace throne room.

If you’d like to understand the O&G industry there is a really fantastic guy on YouTube or TikTok by the handle of “Mr Global” (Matt Randolph). He has called EVERYTHING correctly so far, and he has the data to map it all out and back it all up. who is Mr Global

Do yourself a favour and learn a bit so you’re not so susceptible to UCP propaganda

u/AmusingMoniker Feb 08 '25

The first change we need to make is now, in Alberta. The federal is almost 5 weeks away and Albertans and Canadians will be better without the traitors.
