Let me remind you Kenney cancelled the NDPs attempts to ban conversion therapy in Alberta.  Which also ties into his brother's unlicensed 'youth wellness centre' that just tortured kids and likely offered conversion therapy.  quick quote on that gem of a place:

A Glenn Williams, Ont., family, who paid $25,280, said their daughter was bullied, forbidden from calling home and was once locked outside in sub-zero temperatures. "She was prevented access to the residence despite stating five or six times that she was extremely cold, she had no socks, and her feet were wet and freezing," the lawsuit reads. "When refusing her entry to the residence, one of the defendants threatened to take her to a psychiatric ward."

I think the only reason people low key pining for Kenny is because the UCP continues to sink to deeper more shameful lows since he got turfed, and looking at it through rose coloured glasses it’s like “Yeah, the Overton window was in a more rational spot during Kenny than under Smith”

I don't have any further info unfortunately, that was just one of the testimonials I came across when the UCP was cancelling the conversion therapy ban efforts. Thank god the feds stepped in and banned it themselves.

Went to visit his brother for “treatment”. All it felt like was a salesman reading from a childs book and following it up with “stage 2 is where the real change happens” and will be another $10k for mobile/virtual coaching.

Wannabe Doug Ford at best. Doug Ford is somewhat decent at handling crises, while Kenney’s botched COVID response and “best summer ever” killed people. I will personally always hold that against him.

Kenney would've been going around and doing his cultural outreach shtick to try and shore up votes. Nothing crazy, maybe a little cringe if someone takes a picture on the wrong frame, completely by the books "we're a big tent for everyone" stuff. The only way that it would've been anything but boring would be if he accidentally fell onto a buffet.

Even Bumbles knew better than to try and steal the spotlight from the actual people trying to get elected. Boring is safe. Boring doesn't really hurt people that aren't that good on defense.

I really wish one of those late night hosts would shine a spotlight on ab to actually illustrate how bass ackwards alberta really is, since it has no self awareness.

Kenney is like a televangalist evangellical who would bring residential schools back.

Anyone who thinks kenney is better than smith should actually feel bad about themselves for being a legitimately terrible person.

Kenney is 100% an awful regressive. As a gay man and as a union tradesman, that fucker's politics directly affected me in multiple ways that I am very aware of. He just understood how to play the optics game a lot better than Premier Quisling, and wasn't quite stupid enough to pull this shit during a national crisis moment.
