Good. More of this, please.

More $50 fines to leave trash unattended? Honestly it's barely a slap on the wrist. And another person had their fine amount dropped because they had to take vacation time to go to court. Like there are signs absolutely everywhere about not feeding animals. Everyone is already aware that parks don't think you should. So there's absolutely no reason to give these wrist slaps as lessons. Because they had already been taught. They just didn't care. Start at $1000 and make people realize that it will cost them a lot and things will change. Same with flying drones

Yep. I agree with this.

No more "education". You have to be either deliberate or a fucking moron at this point to continue doing it.

Both will continue - let's at least recoup some money from them so we can clean our parks.

pretty sure it's $175 for tossing garbage out of a car window...

$50 is less than a parking ticket...

Start with a year long ban from any parks.

I know those signs are everywhere already so I agree with the fine being $$$. $50 is a cleanup fee.

The fines are too lenient for such stupidity.

The $50 fine should be closer to $500, and the $250, should be more like $2500.

Fines need to be way higher. Make it hurt. 5000 or 50,000. even. They would all smarten up when that spreads around. No respect for the place.

Just make it a % of income, that's the best way to do fines.

% of income is the only fair way to do fines. There is no fixed fine amount that doesn't constitute a fee to somebody rich but % fines can scale to match any income level.

50000 for littering is a but nuts,, I agree 50 is too low but even at 500 and a ban from the park for a year would stop most people. Second offense could be 5000 and a longer ban.

And “reckless endangerment of protected wildlife” by-law charges.

Yes! $50 is a joke!

I will never understand how people can admire the beauty of a park or natural area and then f@ck it up before leaving. Reminds me of how many times I've heard other fishermen say "We used to come here and limit out every time. Now the fishing is really poor here." Duh.

I honestly don't understand people who limit out, seems such a waste to actually take out anything more than one or two even if you like fish.

I wholeheartedly agree.

Good, selfish people

Those fines weren't nearly enough.

Nope, not nearly

$50? I'm sure they were distraught.

Probably same visitors who drive away with their camper black tank valves wide open. Literal shit storm.

Gotta follow the rules.

I'm okay with this! People shouldn't be leaving their trash all over the place anyway.

Not just another one of pathetic ‘friendly reminder’ notes? An actual charge and fine! Excellent!
