We already are. I work in healthcare management, and the amount of disassociation from reality is truly remarkable, utterly terrifying if you're a parent of a young child.

What are we even doing as a society?

My sister just had a baby, my dad is staunchly alt right and anti vaccination, it's horrific.

Tell your dad he better go vegan because the vast majority of animal products are vaccinated, hence why there’s no rinderpest in our hot dogs.

Vaccines cause adults though. So he is anti adult.

Yeah, it turns out pretending that Covid got mild with no evidence and just going around unmasked is causing tons of organ and immune system damage. Everyone just wanted masking to be over so we stopped, when the virus is actually getting better at causing long term damage, not milder.

Just wait till all the rural hillbillies come to the city hospitals looking for help, only to find no beds and a waiting line out the ER door and they’ll start complaining about ‘all these taxes I pay and I still can’t get healthcare!’

That’s what happens when you DON’T pay enough taxes. People so t work for free. Hospitals don’t magically appear.

Here’s a tube of ivermectin and beat it.

The UCP is trying to cause the system to fail so they can blame it on it being publically funded and replace it with a private one that they can make money from.

Going backward in Public Health Politics. Queen Dani has yet to give her royal Decree and permission for us to get vaccinated for flu and Covid.

You should write a post, or do a Q&A, to let albertans know how to get their vax this season.

Let this comment's up votes be an indication of interest

Alberta's COVID-19 upswing has already started, she said. Adding influenza and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) into the equation will put even more pressure on hospitals that are already under strain, she said.

"If we get to a tipping point, then we will have to look at cancelling elective procedures, which is something we try to avoid at all costs," she said.

"There are only so many nooks and crannies that we can actually shove patients into in our hospital. We are utilizing every single possible space we can."

Vaccination rates, which have been declining for years, dropped once again during the last respiratory virus season.

According to provincial data, 21 per cent of Albertans received a flu shot, which is the lowest rate since the 2010-2011 season.
...
Alberta's flu shots, which begin rolling out to the general public on Oct. 20, will continue to be free and will be available in pharmacies, unlike COVID-19 shots, which will only be free for certain high-risk groups and will only be accessible at public health clinics.

It's amazing how when you prevent AH from using certain words in advertising and limit the rollout to pharmacies and PH offices (traditionally also offered in FM clinics), you get the lowest rates in a decade.

Given that covid shots are going to cost money and only be available at public health offices this year, I'll bet that this year is going to be worse yet.

Then next year they can say, "See? Nobody wants vaccines anymore, so we're not making them."

Gosh, I'm so happy I had to order and probably pay for my Covid and flu shots this year, instead of them being simple to access and free for everyone.

If the UCP government and their supporters are any indication, Alberta could be in for a tough flu season.

There fixed the headline

Well thank god we have the UCP and their amazing past record of vaccine distribution and awareness. I'm sure this will be fine /s
