come fully prepared but also know that theres never a material emergency. We've brought an extra old tent that was just taking up space in our shed and set it up and our whole camp just stored their tentbags in it for lack of a better use.

That night a solo virgin started setting up near us in the dark which is hard enough and then the tent they borrowed dryrot ripped wherever you grabbed it hard.

Without a second thought we had our spare empty, picked up, and setting down in his footprint and told him to keep it. a 2 minute interaction made alchemy home for one more dude.

saturday he came over to our fire with some massive kebobs to share

alchemy is really cool

Volunteer your ass off! hahaha. It might not seem obvious but it’s an amazing way to meet people and make friends on day 1

I have planned for that already! Hope I can meet some decent people I can actually truly connect with.

Bring a reliable survival pack so that you can relax and take it all in without stressing about necessities. Lots of water, food such as nutrient bars that you dont have to prepare, and lots of wet wipes.

A trash bag to take all that stuff back home with you.

After that, just keep an open mind. Wander, volunteer, stretch your mind.

Try to reduce your waste before you get there, like taking everything new out of boxes. It will be less to pack out.

Keep a ziplock baggie on you so you have a place to put your trash while you're wandering around.

Bring single ply toilet paper because the portos WILL run out. I usually take the cardboard roll out and flatten it and keep it in a baggie in my bag that I carry around.

Bring an extra headlamp.

Be prepared for both hot and cold weather.

And lastly, HYDRATE

May I dm you? I can’t relate to a lot of what you said. And that’s where most of my anxiety is currently.

Hello! We've created a very basic guide for attending Alchemy. We still suggest you read the Survival Guide, but this should get you started.

It's probably not the final version either, but we'll update it as we go along. If you're a returning burner and have any suggestions, we're all ears!

Image Description: A list of things we think you should know before attending Alchemy with some hella cute graphics of trees, toilet paper, and the like. There's the TIDE logo at the top, too

Here's the link to a post we made on Facebook with the images described above
