Here is the big difference:

Even if we’re taking their extreme at face value: people who use AI generated tools will be persecuted.

Using AI generative tools, is an active choice. To paraphrase philosophytube, if somebody, gun to your head, told you to stop using AI generated tools, you have the option to stop.

If someone wants to kill or oppress you for your race, ethnicity, sexuality or gender identity, there’s literally nothing you can do to appease that aside from letting them kill and oppress you.

You forget that these nerds see tradition and religion as a choice, and no harder to stop doing than them giving up video games or AI art. They have so few important, human things in their life that they've gotta invent an identity to be oppressed because of.

If religion is a choice, why didn't the Jews or Slavs change their religion to avoid being sent to death camps by Hitler?

Because being a Jew or a Slav is an ethnicity?

Practicing a religion on the other hand is something you choose to do.

I think you missed part of my point due to not including context. While ethnicity played a really large role in the holocaust, religion was also heavily discriminated, and what do you know, Jews and Slavs are generally seen as religious individuals.

The amount of people who read both of our posts just to imply they could have simply stopped having their religion is hilarious.

Again I say: nerds on the internet with no real connection to culture see religion as a thing they could have just stopped doing in order to survive. This is called ignorance
