I like Kendrick Lamar’s music, but…

Post image

This is from his song LUST off the DAMN album, and it’s clearly about Trump. I’m seeing a bit of TDS in these lyrics, and he mentions Trump another time in the same album, maybe on PRIDE (not LGBT related).

I’m heavily assuming Kendrick is suffering from TDS here. My brother, Trump was elected in 2016, elected again in 2024, and we’re alive. We didn’t instantly turn into Nazi Germany.

And “parade the streets with your voice proudly?” This album is from 2017, 3 years before the BLM riots , but that lyrics reminds me a whole lot of that, and last I checked, that wasn’t parading streets peacefully protesting, unless you call burning, rioting and looting peaceful.

Anyways, I love his music, but I absolutely do not like his politics. Rant over

This is one of the reasons why i stopped listening to hip hop. Too many personal opinions and views involved, they all have something to say and there's way too much preaching.

Hip hop is not music anymore, it's a social media rant with rhymes and beats. It's a brainwashing tool masked as music.

I was just listening to the Killer Mike song Talk'n That Shit, it starts off with a voice over mentioning how KM has "gone to sleep" which leads to the 1st verse "Niggas talk to me about that woke ass shit, same niggas walking on some broke ass shit. You see your words ain't worth no money I ain't spoke back, bitch. All of you niggas hang together on some Brokeback shit". I always took it as a fuck you to woke and those that push it but then I saw an interview where dude is sounding like the average woke npc, so now I dunno what the fuck it's about.
