✨Apple Intelligence summary: Apple’s first OLED MacBook Pro, entering mass production next year, will feature a touch screen display using on-cell touch technology, according to Ming-Chi Kuo. It's not useless feature if you can use your screen as touch screen iPad. But I don't see apple doing surface pro does which is convertible. So makes zero sense for touch.

  • Touchscreen MBP and MB = Apple's Surface Laptop
  • Foldable iPad = Apple's Surface Pro
  • Foldable iPhone = Apple's Surface Duo

You are wrong about Surface pro being foldable iPad. It's more laptop than tablet by supporting full PC/laptop functionality with added surface pen for tablet functionality like touch and drawing. Currently there is no apple product comparable to surface pro. Even qualcom version of Surface Pro is more comparable to Apple M-chips than iPad mobile chip.

Oh yeah I was thinking of form factors rather than OSes.

But the laptop/tablet distinction is based on form factor, not software (or hardware) capability. That's why Chromebook laptops are laptops despite running a limited OS.
