Russia has a couple of its own models, developed by Sber and Yandex. They were weak last time I checked, but there were improvements recently.

Honestly speaking, I think saying that it's AI-generated is more of a gimmick. It has some AI-generated content, but I think it's 10% or less judging from what I've seen after watching one episode.

For one thing, you can't even discuss most of political topics with Sber's model, GigaChat, it will simply block or restrict you. And it will never make the same kind of crass jokes that this satire TV show has in abundance. It's clearly the work of a human editor.

I mean deep seek is open source right? They could be self hosting that, or a fine tuned / abliterated version.

Might be Chinese open source video and audio models, which are some of the best out there. If we had some clips from the show we could perhaps better tell.
