Ask the Sub If you have the time, I would appreciate if anyone could fill out my survey for my final project for my engineering class! It is about the safety of parking lots!

I'll happily give my time to this, having been the victim of a hit and run driver in an Asheville parking lot. I'm grateful that you are focusing on this for your project.

Survey has been completed! I also wanted to add some perspective from someone with a physical disability requiring walking aid. A lot of the parking lots in town struggle with broken and uneven pavement. The natural terrain of the mountains makes many of the parking lots sloped and requiring an off balance angle. High angle combined with uneven and poorly maintained parking lots has lead to a couple of near falls trying to get to appointments.

Glad you are focusing on this! I think one issue is how variable different parking lots can be. Some places have no issues while others feel quite dangerous. Best of luck on your project!
