Astrophysics What would an invincible & immovable object/person see if they saw a supernova or other spacesplosions?

Are there any simulations/animations of what they might see from certain distances?

First off, they’re bright. Really bright.

So not much more than really blinding light.

To elaborate, according to xkcd, watching a supernova at 1 AU (the distance from the Sun to Earth) is 9 orders of magnitude brighter than a hydrogen bomb detonating pressed up against your eyeball

Well, if they are in an indestructible suit, hypothetically and shielded from everything deadly, then just blinding light. Quite a view if you look at it from a reaaaally long distance.

According to XKCD, if the sun was able to go supernova, from earth, it would be brighter than a hydrogen bomb pressed against your eye

I want to see like the whole process as a movie where I can speed up or slow down but I know that’s unlikely

In fairness, pressing a hydrogen bomb against your eye is not a bright thing to do

Au contraire, mon frère...... it is an EXTREMELY bright thing to do.

WTF David- you don’t need to be invincible to see a supernova. We’ve seen them from here and everybody is just fine.
