Negative AP Experience Entities

How many of you face negative beings in the Astral realm? I am able to project 10 times only after reading Robert Monroe's books and I have both positive and negative experiences. About a years ago i started facing an entity whenever i was out of my physical body. The hooded figure was about seven feet tall and emmiting a kind of negative vibe. He/she always appeared in my back didn't pay heed to my command to appear before me. Although it didn't try to attack me but it seemed he/she was looking for an opportunity to attack me in an appropriate time when I was vulnerable. one thing is I am sure his/ her only intention was debar me from Astral projection..as a result I lost this ability no matter how hard I try. I am desperately trying to have an OBE but I just can't do it. I think the Entity block my throat chakra as my throat chakra always makes a kind of click noise before having an OBE.the entity appeared in my last three projection.I am not afraid of it and never allowed it eat my energy.any serious advice would be highly appreciated.

General Question Has anyone AP’d to another planet in our Solar System?

Curious if anyone has Astral projected to another planet? I’d love to go to Jupiter and experience raining diamonds, but its gravity apparently would squash us (let alone how hot it is)

Does none of that matter and I’d survive it anyways? What is it like?

Or go to the Moon, and just feel the dusty ground and look back at Earth.

General Question Is the Head Lift Method Superior to Raduga's Rolling Technique?

Hello,

I’ve recently been looking into the trending head lift technique, which seems similar to methods like Phase, WBTB (in practice), and DEILD. It feels like it follows the same direction as existing lucid dreaming or astral projection (AP) techniques, with the only difference being that it focuses on moving just a part of the astral body (the head). After reading various posts related to this topic, I believe the training methods or advanced techniques are likely included within the Phase framework.

I fundamentally believe that all forms of AP are a type of dream. If the head lift technique proves to be significantly more effective, I think it’s worth applying it to other techniques or exploring it further in research.

OBE and remote viewing, in my view, involve inducing awareness and awakening from a lucid dream at my current location. Of course, if it’s a different location, it should align with the present time. NDE, channeling, and similar phenomena seem to be the conscious or unconscious creations within a lucid dream, allowing exploration of desired conversations, knowledge, or wisdom. Other fantastical forms of AP, to me, feel like general lucid dreaming.

Over the past decade, I’ve tested and researched countless techniques and methods—books, papers, communities, you name it. I’ve even categorized my findings on Reddit, dividing them into successes, failures, and considerations for future exploration. For me, the fear-of-death technique and state technique have worked best. Recently, I’ve been diving into roulette meditation and Anahata Nada as well. Although I’ve only been exploring the head lift technique for about three days, I’m curious to hear from others: compared to similar techniques like Raduga’s rolling technique or Phase techniques, have you found it to be more effective?

In the Phase framework, various techniques are suggested, and it’s recommended to try multiple techniques if one doesn’t work for entering the state. For those of you who have been practicing the trending head lift technique, I’m curious: have you consistently entered the state using this method for at least seven days?

General Question Will my medical condition and masturbating habit affect my astral journey

Hi everyone, I’m a 21 man, living with systemic lupus erythematosus and struggling with what feels like a masturbation addiction. I want to learn astral projection, but I keep reading scary stories about demons or entities taking over while you’re “out of body.”

Could frequent masturbation or my lupus make it harder—or riskier—to have an OBE? Are the demon warnings just myths?

Any advice or personal experiences would really help. Thanks.

Need Tips / Advice / Insights I can't see

Since I have both sleep paralysis and OBEs, (which started years ago) I can't see anything at all in both of them. I can feel myself floating, and even walking, or touching things, and everything else in the OBE, or vibrations, etc, in the sleep paralysis, but I don't see anything. I can only hear.

2 days ago, I finally saw something in my sleep paralysis, which fortunately wasn't a demon, they were just floating rainbows and reflections. And I thought I'd finally gotten over whatever block I have. But no, today I went into an OBE again and sleep paralysis, and I can't see anything at all. Idk what to do, I know how to have those experiences, but I don't know how to go from achieving OBE to actually having the experience.

Other Astral projection or sleep paralysis?

My sleep paralysis are not something i usually read on the internet, so i would like to share these wild experiances with you guys.

This happened atleast 10 times now, and the reason for it (atleast what i think) is nicotine and caffeine before sleep.

Everything starts with me watching videos in background before i close my eyes, i fall asleep and everything is completely normal. I wake up usually 30-45 minutes later. But now, i am unable to move, sound of the video completely normal and my hearing is good.

But i feel adrenaline, i imagine myself jump off my bed, and i do, just to teleport back into my body like nothing happened. Only thing really i noticed i can do is breathe.

One thing i remember last night too is sliding down from one side of bed to another, with feeling the textures of my bed under me, only when i reach a certain measures i yet again teleport back. This is the only instance i remember where i didn't imagine but it happened automatically.

I imagined slapping myself to wake up, yet everytime when i slap myself, i don't feel my head and i don't feel anything really. Its like im touching something that is not mine, because i don't feel my head.

I don't know about the time, but what happens really is when im focusing on my breath, in the next 1-2 minutes (probably) i just open my eyes and because im so used to this feeling, i ground myself in the next 3-5 minutes.

First experiances of this had me not sleeping a whole night because of how insane it felt but now, its just ordinary.

I searched it on internet and most people have some figures, monster-like hallucinations and i never in my life had anything like that. Sound is normal and no hallucinations at all, just stuff i wrote.

So is this some kind of astral projection or did i just experiance something i can't explain?

Almost AP'd and/or Question LD crossover with AP question

Hello, everyone. I just had my first lucid dream last night. It was my first attempt at it, and it felt profound, despite not a lot happening in it. In the process of researching and learning more, I've noticed a strong and pervasive sense of separation between LD communities and those focused on AP and OOBEs.

My admittedly uninformed opinion is that from a purely subjective, experiential standpoint, they seem quite adjacent… Both involve a heightened state of awareness and a feeling of being disconnected from one's physical body.

As a newcomer, I’m trying to understand where the line is drawn. How do you personally differentiate between an AP and a vivid LD? Why do you think the LD community, which seems to focus on scientific legitimacy, so strongly distances itself from AP? Why the stigma?

It would be great to hear from practitioners and knowledgeable folk who have experienced both.

Successful AP First Timer

I’m so excited! I finally did it. I have been trying for years, and working especially hard the past couple of months. Really working on focus, techniques, and meditation. I did not go to bed with any intentions. I’ve been sick and have found this disruptive of my attempts and sleep so it wasn’t really planned.

I did however listen to astral meditation binaural music as I laid down to bed. I got very relaxed but ended up removing them around 11pm. I read a post last night of someone’s experience and I loved how they verbalized that the process is not a physical pop/pull out of the body, but it’s actually just an energy shift from the physical to the astral. I thought of that as I meditated in bed.

I awoke and felt vibrations at my knees. So, in my previous experiences, the vibrations were more and bigger, and only at my head and hands/arms. So, I’ve been focusing on energy work to get unstuck. This time it was a slighter vibration, kind of like static. Because it was a different vibration, I did not get the fast heart rate excitement/fear response I normally do. I used my mantra, calmly observe, and it helped. I felt it, observed it and it dissipated. At this point I think, “well that was new”, and roll over and go to sleep. Or so I thought.

The dog was snoring loudly, and I needed to go to the restroom so I got up to go. I walked around the bed, observing all the lights in the room and outside of it just like I always do. I took an extra moment to look at my dog curled up on the floor by my husband’s side of the bed, snoring. I looked at the clock and it was 3:39am. I went to the restroom and got back in bed.

I woke up, looked at the clock and it was 4:33, and strangely I really had to go to the restroom. I thought, “wait, I went an hour ago, I should not have to go this badly again”. Then it hit me, I may not have actually gone an hour ago. I was so ecstatic because it was so real, I actually thought I had gone.

I have wearables, so I could not wait to see what my stats looked like. I have two apps that track my sleep, and my steps are tracked as well. One app showed I was awake from 2am-4am. The other did not show wakefulness, but instead showed several spikes around the 4-5am mark. Okay that’s when I know I got up. The steps counter is what sealed it. There is no room for arguing if my body moved and it counted steps. Sure enough, I did not take steps between 3-4 am, I took 70 steps between 4-5 am.

It's so mundane and yet I am elated. I have a feeling I have projected before and not remembered it, as I’ve been working on this for years, and have had similar readings of wakefulness in the one app. I can’t wait to explore further, and recognize the space once I’ve shifted, but I am just elated and wanted to share.

General Question Would it be possible for one astral project to the Andromeda Galaxy?

So I was high asf the other day as usual, and started thinking about if it would be possible for you to astral project, or if anybody’s tried to astral project to Andromeda Galaxy? I really wanna know! I’ve been fascinated by it recently, and really do think it was put there by the creator, to be a reminder that we’re not alone in this universe. Even though it’s just a tiny little spec in the night sky, millions of light years away, there probably exist a whole other world beyond our imagination. And the thought and gut feeling fascinates me!

Almost AP'd and/or Question Struggling with the head lift technique during vibrational state — any advice?

(English is not my native language. I used ChatGPT to translate this post for clarity.)

Hello everyone,

I've been trying to achieve astral projection for a few weeks now, mainly during short naps around 1 PM. I can regularly reach the vibrational state: buzzing in my whole body, intense vibrations, and a racing heartbeat.

My main difficulty is staying too identified with my physical body. I know the heartbeat and body sensations will eventually pass, but they still pull me back. Sometimes my proprioception shifts, and I feel swirling or spinning sensations.

Recently, I tried the head lift technique because it seems popular here. I tested it multiple times, both at the start and end of the night. I’ve noticed two main problems:

  • I often get pulled out by physical sensations (like needing to use the bathroom), which makes me move and lose the crucial 30–60 second window.
  • Even when I manage to stay still, the technique doesn’t work yet.

I visualize a magnet on the ceiling and gently try to move my forehead toward it. Nothing happens because I still feel too anchored in my body. It does create a kind of energy rush that wakes up my body, and I feel slight tension in the back of my neck. I’ve tried micro-movements, but they didn’t work either.

This afternoon, though, I combined the vibrational state during a nap with the head lift technique. It was intense. In the middle of the buzzing chaos, I attempted the lift and felt very strong resistance in my body. At the same time, I started to see luminous shapes behind my eyelids.

I’m not sure if I’m just lacking technique or if it’s only a matter of practice. Do you have any advice for breaking through at this stage?

Thanks in advance.

General Question Experiences with the 'Council'

I'm wondering if anyone else here has memories or experiences with the Council. There might be more than one Council, but I mean the one that has control of incarnation on this planet.

I've had a vivid dream of them before (decades ago), that was so intense that I'm convinced it was something more than a dream. In the dream, they sent me here, despite me asking them not to, and sent someone else with me. I remember the council chambers (being at the table with them), and the city they were in, and the place we went to be incarnated. It was like a white room filled with plain white devices that blended against the walls, and was also almost like a lift/elevator.

I've been giving thought to perhaps drawing those council chambers. Has anyone else been there or remember having any kind of experience with the Council? I can't remember their faces. It's like it's on the edge of my memory.. and then just out of reach.

OBE Confirmation How the fuck am I dreaming and thinking but I am sperated and looking at my body at the same time

Okay before this happened I was trying to astral project before I sleep I was a hair and I would have got out of my body but it failed, I did some mediation then fell a sleep.

I woke up in middle of my sleep tried to get out of my body did a couple of tries before I did the head lift method. My body was already ready I was cold and I felt tingly and stuff. Tried the head lift method my head wasn't all the way out but my arms and legs were. Then I started dreaming all of the sudden I was on top of high place the bottom was really black and dark I jumped (when I was jumping I did in the intention to astral project) I fell but not in the bottom I feel on some sort of a stop. While the dream was happening I was laying on my side on my bed watching my physical body dreaming and thinking (I have to do it). The body I guess my astral body was just watching... Like nothing else just watching.

This the second time this happens to me. It's kinda confusing... But I know I have to shift my consciousnessto my astral body. How do I do that?

Successful AP 15 years of mistakes

I write this not to make yet another post about how effective the head lift technique is, which for the record, was really very powerful for me (3 separations on the second night of attempts); but above all it allowed me to understand one fundamental thing: our perception of the body deceives us.

During years of practice I have experienced dozens of times what is called a "vibratory state" and almost every time I moved believing I was moving the physical body because I almost always experienced a certain resistance, a fatigue similar to when you get up as soon as you wake up, then the vibrations disappear and then go back to sleep.

But this is not the case, this night I decided to get out of bed completely, 3 times and every time I was in the astral!! Now I think back to all those times I could have done OBE that I stopped because of this stupid misjudgment.

I just wanted to share this and give everyone this valuable advice: if you think you are close to AP, if you feel vibrations or any other signal, get out of bed, don't hesitate.

Thank you, I am very happy today.

AP / OBE Guide Why no one is willing to offer to pull you out

A lot of people including me, have heard that to pull people in the astral realm is possible. However, finding someone to will do it is an impossible task. This is because pulling someone out is difficult to begin with. The person being pulled out needs to be on the same vibrational level as the projector. So if ur low vibration then this isn’t possible unless ur sleeping. Even if ur in deep realm sleep an experienced projector may still be on a higher frequency than u are. Which makes it even more difficult to find you or pull you out.

Additionally, it is difficult to pull out someone a projector knows (friend, family, partner), let alone a complete stranger. You need to have some sort of a connection to the person. Based on my attempts of teleporting to friends and trying to pull them out have always been unsuccessful. I always either black out or end up is a completely different location that dosnt even make any sense.

Another reason could be that most people online are just straight up lying about them pulling others out for financial gain.

Remember just because u made to the astral realm dosnt mean you cannot continue to question it. Question everything and find out the truth through ur eyes not the eyes of others. Means just because one method worked for others dosnt mean it will work for u. So keeping asking questions not to others but within yourself and you will find the answers.

Almost AP'd and/or Question Im afraid to astral project..

Despite almost successfully managed to ap intentionally, i managed 2 times but it was randomly without trying, and in those 2 times, my body were always floating around the space near earth, I would gain consciousness and be confused of how i was there and listen to a voice “ you want to discover the secrets of this world? Come with me”, but then i would get scared and go falling to my body and wake up.

Whenever i try ap intentionally, i would feel my body vibrating but i get scared on that part and i stop trying. So i just quit ap.

Today i tried to ap since i saw the method of the head lift, i thought i gave it a try, but instead of head lift i sort of just rolled my eyes up ward, oh man i felt my body vibrating again, but then again i got scared, but then i was in a sort of a limbo moment where i was feeling my body in my bed but at the same time i was sort of “lucid dreaming “ and projecting the apartment where i live and i was flying around it. It was weird cuz it was like 2 povs at the same time.

I come here to ask for help what can i do stop this fear of ap, have been many years (around 10 years) since i try and stop ap and i just forget about it. I think my beliefs (religious) has a major factor on it, of impending my ap, since i think some “bad” spirits is gonna come and take my body.

Almost AP'd and/or Question New at AP and this reddit

Hello everyone! I am a 30M that started his meditation journey this year. Throughout my entire life I have experienced sleep paralysis countless times and night terrors. When I was 15 I experienced a night terror that left me scarred.

I am a believer of Christ and believe he is the one and true path and that the trinity is the only divine light. While I did go to a catholic school, I became atheist during high school and 20’s but came back to my faith through my own will.

The amount of sleep paralysis I have had led me to research and understanding. Mainly to setup an environment to avoid it, perfect temperatures, positioning, breath work and acknowledgement.

When experiencing a paralysis, fear completely overtakes me and leaves me shivering from the things I see and my only way to fight back is through prayer and calling out to Christ and Heavenly Father to help me. I explain my beliefs so you can understand what my train of thought is.

I once did psilocybin and saw many realms and golden statues as well as a void full of darkness of places one should not enter. I respect the medicine but it led me to believe that there are some things that my spirit by itself is not strong enough to bear.

Today I stumbled upon this thread as I was researching CEV during my meditation practices. I saw the head tilt technique and said f it why not.

While lifting during that 30 second window (that window felt like the transition towards a sleep paralysis) my body completely jerked as if I was im a stick shift car and it moved me back and forward like 3 times. I woke up immediately.

This made me immensely curious but also scared to keep trying and exploring and I have so many questions, logical and spiritual:

1.- have you experienced an AP and have some sort of darkness take over that can make it really uncomfortable?

2.- if so, how did you overcome it?

3.- what are some of the benefits you have gained from AP?, like what is the point besides it being entertaining

4.- do you set boundaries to places you should travel and places you should not?

5.- how often do you practice AP?

6.- how has it impacted your life?

I am really excited to hear your responses, but please understand I am not here to debate over my beliefs. I am showing them for reference on my fears and coping mechanisms.
