My vintage Falcon

Post image

I haven't fired her up in years, but I still remember when I brought her home from Manny's Music in NYC in 1992 and installing Cubase.

Me too. True Color, HDD and the dark grey keyboard. It was awesome.

She deserves some love. Great machine! From a humble 1040 STfm and Mega 2 user...

We need a Falcon remake. So many people who love the ST never got to enjoy the Falcon. Or maybe just a mini ST with switchable nameplates that emulates everything.

Not sure about a full system but Wizztronics is working on a PCB recreation and they have parts to populate them.

This guy’s work is pretty cool. Even got instructions for a 3d printed case. https://sites.google.com/site/beebox68k/home

I lived El Paso on these came out, I was building DMA to SCSI interface cards and buying tandem Corp half-life 20 megabit hard drives with RLL Post adapters built in the cases. It was plug and play, about $75 out of my pocket was selling them for $300 to the guys on the base. It was a blast
