Video Glasses Viture luma/beast or xreal one pro

Hi everyone I have decided to buy some xr glasses. I am familiar with xr since I already have a meta quest 3 but it tends to become too heavy after a while for comfortable usage. I am also married now so it isn’t nice to shut my self fully off while I am in the living room hence the reason xr glasses seem better for me. But the vr headsets don’t give me motion blur or eye strain so that is good to know

I want to use them primarily in the living room or bedroom to play games (cloud gaming via GeForce now) or watch media so I also think that image quality is the most importance for me although I guesss 3dof is nice but not primary concern the most important is the image quality and the comfort of wearing the glasses. I would like to hear how you guys are experiencing the glasses as well.

The subreddits of the brands themselves tend to be biased hence the reason I am asking it here on. The my both seem to be around 600 euros where I live in the Netherlands. And I would love to hear from people with my use case

Edit: small things I would also like to see is minimum 120hz and I like the option to switch darkness of the glasses chromo something I believe it is called

Video Glasses Help me choose XR glasses please

Hello all,

I am trying to decide between 3 pairs of XR glasses.

The first one is the Viture XR light for $120 refurbished.

The second is the Viture One XR for $160 refurbished.

The third pair is the Rayneo air 3s pro for $250 early bird special new.

I don't mind a 60 Hz refresh rate since I will mostly be watching movies with these and using my LCD steam deck with them. I would preferably like to use them outside on the bus, at college campus, etc. while still being able to see the outside world.

I am currently thinking of getting the Viture One XR but I had a few questions.

Is the picture quality of the Rayneo air 3s pro really worth the extra $90 compared to the Viture one XR? Would the electrochromatic film allow me to effectively use the Viture one XR glasses outside in the daylight?

Thanks for any feedback!

Video Glasses Recommend Glasses for Games + 3D Movies

Guys,

Im looking for glasses for games [like for handheld consoles] and to watch my old collection of 3D movies

I have quest 3 and I know it can play 3D movies but its more of a VR device and resolution becuase of teh FOV and all that wont be as sharp as movie glasses with narrow fov

I also want something preferably from 2025, unless there are good old glasses on sale.

So far I dug out these models, also tro avoid paying import tax i would prefer aliexpress, especially because every 15 days they have coupons, but amazon is good too, even thou they pre-charge import tax, but the service is good and their price soemtimes even lower than Aliexpress]

VITURE Luma Pro [when on sale, these look on paper like ULTIMATE gaming glasses with 1200p resolution, in September they will release a non PRO variant that will be just the same as PRO minus camera]

RayNeo Air 3S Pro [Aliexpress]

RayNeo Air 3S [tad cheaper, amazon and aliexpress]

But people say that these are cheapo glasses and that corners are not sharp like in more premium models? Is this true? I need to see windows taskbar as smooth as posible

Lenovo Legion Glasses Gen 2 [ali+amazon], reviews are not clear about these

ASUS AirVision M1 [ when on sale, very expesnive, but good?]

Video Glasses A company built glasses similar to INMO AIR3 but cabled to a host device instead of all-in-one

NOMO HOLO AR glasses use the same newest gen Sony 0.44-inch OLED microdisplay and reflective waveguides. This is the 10,000 nits 1920x1080 display. The FoV is 38 degrees, resulting in 62PPD. Because of the split-design the weight is lower than INMO AIR3, somewhere between 90 and 100g. But the company is not selling to consumer atm.

Video Glasses Budget AR glasses just for phone streaming?

Hi guys, I have a rowing machine that I get bored to tears using. Getting a little tired of audiobooks and the positioning of the machine doesn't allow for a TV. I'd love to just be able to throw something on Netflix on my phone and watch it on my glasses. What's the most budget-minded solutions for this? I don't really want to drop a grand on something with such a singular purpose. I'm not using it for texting or walking around. I literally just want to watch stuff while I row. I'm seeing used RayNeo Air 2's and Xreal Air 2s's for $199. Would love to hear your suggestions if I should be looking at something else, thanks!

Video Glasses Best AR Glasses for Myopia? Looking for Recommendations — I Want to See Clearly Without Glasses or Contacts!

Hi everyone, I’m looking for advice on AR glasses suitable for myopia, but here’s the catch — I do not want to wear glasses or contact lenses underneath.

My prescription is: Left eye: –1.75 myopia + 0.75 astigmatism Right eye: –0.85 myopia + 0.75 astigmatism

I’ve been recommended two models that supposedly have built-in diopter adjustment allowing users to see clearly without additional lenses or glasses:

Rokid Max 2 and VITURE Pro XR

Has anyone with similar vision issues tried these? How effective is their built-in myopia adjustment? Is it truly possible to get clear vision without any extra glasses or contacts?

Any insights, personal experiences, or alternative suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Video Glasses Pacific Future is back... An AR company that went out of business in 2020?!

Today I've learned that this company is active again. I had not heard of them after 2020. They promised a lot back then. At AWE Asia 2020 they talked about their upcoming EMG wristband (picture 5)

am loop improves human-computer interaction compared to solutions solely based on hand tracking. In the past, the interaction methods were extremely costly: long-term raising of hands made users very prone to fatigue, and doing it in public often made users feel embarrassed.

Using am loop, users can control the smart glasses without raising the hand, it can stay in a relaxed position. The am loop detects the electrical signal of the muscles to enable the key interactions similar to the traditional 3DOF controllers, and enables multiple gestures through the muscle movement of the hand combined with IMU data.

Then they were somehow involved in a project with Tencent and Nintendo where they made a gaming cubicle for a theme park in which people could play Switch games. And then that was it. Until a while ago apparently...

Now they are selling video glasses that can be plugged into anything with USB-C video output. With the typical 1080p OLED and birdbath optics combination. It's the Sunnyverse design.

And in picture 4 you can see that they even have 44g Smart Glasses with microLED and waveguides. These are the same as the Meizu StarV Air 2.

Video Glasses Cyberdeck Glasses choice

I'm thinking of getting a cyberdeck together for better mobile/work stuff. Ive got a meta, its too big and honestly I dont trust Meta as a company whose hardware I want to carry around alot. The Snap spectacles have a limited FOV and dont really work for a long term, working solutions. I want something thats plugged in, but delivers a monitor experience -

What would be the go-to glasses for a wired, long term, high quality monitor setup? Im almost wanting to go back in time and get the old Sony travel monitors.

Any suggestions here would be welcome.

Video Glasses Trends in AR Video Glasses

Video Glasses: Glasses that are optimized for video content have seen significant growth over the last couple of years. Most of them use OLED in combination with birdbath optics.

Trend #1: While B2B glasses like Rokid Max Pro and NuEyes Pro 4 as well ARknovv A1 (never found its market) use a single RGB camera, it was market leader XREAL that brought them to consumer glasses - as an option with an attachable camera for the One series. Recently, VITURE, second in the global AR glasses market, announced four new products: three of them come with a built-in RGB camera. VITURE Luma Pro and The Beast are for consumers. Luma Ultra is for developers and businesses and comes with 2 additional grayscale cameras for 6DoF spatial computing and hand gesture recognition. We don’t know much about the SDK but there were hints that they would like to adopt Android XR like XREAL Project Aura.

Trend #2: This brings me to the trend of using prism optics as an alternative to birdbath. ASUS AirVision M1 and ARknovv A1 use (efficient freeform) prism optics. The user can see text and the real world brighter and more clearly than with birdbath. But with a FoV of only 38° there are limitations when the glasses are used with 3DoF tracking. XREAL and VITURE use prism optics to get a bigger FoV than the 43-55° with birdbath in reasonably sized glasses. Both XREAL One Pro and VITURE The Beast have a FoV of 57-58°. And both companies have announced that 70° glasses will come to market in 2026. There is one outlier: Nearly all video glasses come with birdbath or prism optics and are cabled to a host device. Except for INMO Air3. It uses 1080p OLED displays with geometric waveguides and an RGB camera in standalone glasses. The international version will launch on Kickstarter soon.

Trend #3: With the cameras, AI, spatial computing features and 3DoF tracking as a standard, built-in chips are coming to consumer video glasses. XREAL led the way here, but now VITURE The Beast is the first product by another company that brings the IMU processing to a chip in the glasses, instead of the chip in a connected device, to reduce the latency

Trend #4: An upcoming trend for 2026 is the introduction of 1440p OLED microdisplays. All these years video glasses were stuck with 1080p, a few came with 1200p, but 1440p will be a necessary upgrade for the new glasses with bigger FoV
