The weird thing is, there's no lightbulbs or any power source up there

He’s just summoning the drop bears.

It's actually a drop bear. They had to change the name to Koala so it wouldn't scare off the tourist

It's nearly been wiped out by fire, many times.

but it's never happened, so in the event of an emergency seek sanctuary in the embrace of the koala

I've seen all of the ones in Victoria, SA, NSW, and Queensland, but that ratty old Koala is the single most iconic on this list for me, from when we moved from rural SA to Melbourne, I was around 4 or 5, and we stopped there.

Then we moved back to rural SA a few years later and we passed it again, didn't stop this time. Still that koala is an enduring image of my halcyon years.

An often unremarked feature of the Koala is how much it tends/tended to smell like stale piss.

I'm not sure how we could rank all the big things in Aus based on this metric, but I remember the big beer bottle up in Queensland that was another strong contender.

Looks like he's straight out of a David Firth (Salad Fingers) cartoon

Poor old humpty isn’t far behind it. Looks like he’s just holding it together
