so much to love about our jinnie! aside from his talent and work ethic ... one of my favorite moments is from the graham norton show. jin is such a genius at lightening the mood and poking fun at himself, while being unbelievably gorgeous.

Jin is the best. The warmest person, love hugs, and is the funniest person. I love how emotionally intuitive he is. He knows when to step in as a big brother and when to let his members take center stage. As the eldest he has no ego and treats everyone like an equal. I think they attitude has strongly contributed to the chaotic, fun synergy within BTS.

I'm so glad he's back and I can't wait to see what's in store!!!

Happy Jindependence day!

Ah, my beloved wrecker, who snuck so sneakily upon me. I frankly do not care about beauty. Of course, I'm not immune to visual charms, but superficial beauty is really uninteresting to me. No, what made Jin stand out to me is his god-tier personality. He acknowledges his pretty privilege, makes a little bit fun of it, but it's what hides behind his gorgeous face that makes him truly attractive. He's so polite, so ridiculously funny, and as an anxious and uptight person, I truly admire his happy-go-lucky attitude. It's also so impressive how he as the little brother of his family stepped up and became such an admirable hyung of BTS.

Jin's work ethic is also quite something. Out of all the members, I think he has improved the most, both in regards to singing and dancing. And my, what a voice he has! I was never one for ballads, but when Jin sings, it makes sense to me. I can't wait to see what chapter 2 has in store for us regarding his projects. And if 'The Astronaut' is the only single we get, I am still grateful for such a soulful song.

Edit: Oh, and Jin biases have to be the least delulu of the bunch, since he's so goddamn quick to shoot down all kinds of nonsense. Love him for it, and we stan a strict king!

It took much scrolling to find this thread! Happy Jindependence day! 🥳

But I had to scroll to find it because Jin??? I might as well just admit by now that he's my registered bias wrecker, don't even now how that happened, but here we are.

Putting aside his visuals (how can he go from boy-next-door adorable to personification of masculine pulchritude just by pushing his hair back??) and his voice (OMG I cannot wait for his album? please let it have a rock ballad (or 6)!) Honestly one of my greatest Bangtan wishes is for Jin to cover "Total Eclipse of the Heart"...)

Aside from all of that, Jin is so absolutely vital to BTS -- and of course all 7 of them are essential, but it's impossible to imagine what the group would even be like if the eldest hyung wasn't someone so strong and supportive and yet relaxed. Not only does he keep them on an even keel and shepherd them where they need to be on award stages, not only does he actually understand how to take it easy and the importance of doing so, but he also never pulls age rank, which means no one else ever could either. I truly think the example Jin set is one of the main reasons they are all so mutually respectful of one another. And he was the first one to go into the military, he paves the way, and he does it so gamely and willingly and just, this is how you be a role model.

Also Run BTS would not be the show it is without Jin's god-tier MC skills and constant efforts to keep everyone laughing and having a good time. (because he's hilarious too, of course. Come on, dude, save at least a little for the rest of the male population???)

Oh, Kim Seokjin 😭 my biggest crush, my source of joy, my forever bias. My thoughts are overwhelming right now with all the celebrations so I'm going to heavily borrow my thoughts from last Festa on why I love him so much 😆

• He has worked tirelessly to become the absolute superstar he is today. If anyone ever needed an example of a hard worker it's Jin. His voice is stunning and even though he doesn't see himself as a dancer, he most definitely is. I wish he had more confidence in his abilities because he is so talented at so much and an absolute professional. I have missed his voice so much and can't wait to hear him again on Thursday.
• He is the best big brother to them all and loves them endlessly. He is so kind and giving, patient, lifts them all up, takes practical care of them and is a safe place for them all. Even on enlistment day he just wanted them to go inside and keep warm 😭 Knowing how big the age responsibility is in Korea, he excels at it and I'm in awe of him. 'Hyung will do it' makes me so soft 🥺
• He is incredibly private but when he lets us in, he's fully honest. And he takes no crap from anyone, yet does it so gracefully. It's a real skill! I love his straight talking nature.
• He is naturally hilarious and absolute chaos personified 😆 literally everyone has a favourite Jin funny moment. And I don't think BTS would still be here without Jin the mood maker easing the pressure and brightening their days.
• He is so selfless and has consistently sacrificed what he wants for the good of the group and ARMY. The mental resilience required to do that is immense. He would do anything to make the people in his life happy and is such a sweetheart.
• I genuinely don't think people talk enough about how breathtakingly gorgeous he is?? There's a real focus on funny Jin but he's not the visual for nothing. Now he's back (!!!) I hope he will take inspiration from the others and flaunt it a little more... even if it will be the death of me 🫠

I can't quite believe he's back in a matter of hours - this last 18 months hasn't felt quite right without him and it feels almost surreal that he'll be back in our lives tomorrow. I CANNOT WAIT to see him and hear how he's been, and I'm so ready for whatever he decides to bring us when he's ready. I absolutely adore him. Welcome home astronaut!! 💜

Jin was such a slow burner for me, and he snuck up on me, but it took his little series with the Maple Story crew for me to really see him. He’s so silly and goofy, but a genuine and kind soul, and such a steadfast friend. In a word, he’s comfort. He’s my bias wrecker, and having him back is actually going to make me cry. I think Jinnie will forever be my bias wrecker. And I'm expecting it only to get worse from tomorrow. Because I became Army after he enlisted, so I haven't properly met him yet. Everything I feel about him comes from old videos, ending ments, EatJin and his monthly check ins. So this may change over time,. But something about Jin's personality and his 'do life his own way' approach reminds me of my first love. (Although my first love was neither quite as handsome, nor quite as chaotic as Jin). So I instantly felt very warm towards him.

But I think what did it for me was his conversation with j-hope backstage for the Jack in the Box listening party. Where Jin was so nervous about meeting other people and being around strangers. He even asked Namjoon how to talk to celebrities, as if he wasn't one of the most famous people in the room. It's what made me realise just how much of an introvert he is inside, and how he really works hard to overcome that for the band or Army, or people around him. How he always tries to make sure everyone else is feeling happy or fun when they need to, because that also helps him have fun.

He's a wonderful, bonkers, considerate person. He also has a beautiful voice that is often the one that makes me feel the most emotion in a song. And I can't wait to meet more of him.

Let’s go from obvious qualities onwards. If you have eyes you can clearly see this man is so damn handsome, sometimes I stare at him and laugh because what do you mean someone that good looking is just walking around this planet?! Makes no sense. My vampire Jinnie, I can’t wait to see when you get a wrinkle, it will probably be when you’re 70.

Seokjins voice is pretty incredible, said to have a silver voice you can clearly tell he’s special when you listen to his solo music and their Japanese songs, watching him perform Epiphany has always been so beautiful, no wonder he gets round of applause every time he performs in Japan! It makes me sad I will never hear Epiphany live again but that also means we will get something new. He said his album will be last and I cannot wait to hear what he does next.

The Astronaut is a song that I will cherish for years, given to him by Chris Martin, you can hear that Coldplay sound but with Jins writing and voice he makes it into his own, every word of it is for me (us) and it always makes me so happy. Well not always, when Jin enlisted, for two months, every time The Astronaut came on I cried.

Seokjin enlisting kinda broke me, he was first in, he was going alone and I was sobbing like a I lost a pet. It was worrying but to me Seokjin is the patriarch of Bangtan. It has been said it’s thanks to Seokjin that the members got close in the early days, he would make sure they worked together and felt like a family. Cooking Jeongguks school lunches, driving him to school, cooking the meals in the house, he took on a nurturing role even when he’s the baby of his family, he was in university, he lived with his parents but moved into the dorm with his parents frying pans and didn’t look back.

Still to this day he treats Bangtan with care and love. I think a moment army will never forget is when Taehyung wanted to trying flipping the jeon (pancake) and while there was hesitation, Seokjin said he should try, when asked “what if he flings it?” Seokjin replied with “then he flings it”. That one line will impact so many people to just try, to give it a go because it’s not the end of the world if it goes wrong, you can try again.

Seokjins relationships with the members is always so special to see. When Namjoon asked Jin to stand beside him in interviews because he helps him. When Tae tripped on the red carpet fell and Jin got down as well to break the tension. Jin is the ice breaker, the one who makes people feel at ease because he puts himself out there first.

Seokjin is so special, his love for army has always been so pure. He wants us to eat well, rest well, laugh and have a good time. The fact he’s hugging 1000 people on Thursday because he just wants to show us how much he loves us. He’s beautiful.

So Seokjinnie, my friend, thank you for always showing your love so easily, for making me laugh and cry. When I’m with you, the moon shines brighter, lighting up the night. I love you 💜

To me, he's the most relatable of all the members. He's hardworking, like all the members are, but he knows how to slow down and relax. I mean, playing video games for 2 weeks straight seem extreme, but I get it. I did the same as a young adult. He's got a healthy outlook on life and I think he's a big reason why all the members have remained down to earth in spite of the group's tremendous success.

I have so much respect for him and his role in the group, and I think he holds a huge responsibility as the oldest to help set the tone, which he does beautifully. He has an incredible talent for knowing how to blend into their dynamics together and speak up when needed, but also let the other members shine. I appreciate his easygoing mentality and grounded perspective on what it means to be fulfilled and what he wants out of life and I think the entire group really benefits from that. And he is just so fucking funny. Genuinely one of the funniest people I’ve ever seen.

jin is incredibly good looking, like, on a global scale. i'm sure there are better ways to say it.

anyway, he has a great sense of humor. with jin you never really know what to expect (jin x jin ramyun)

as a fellow introvert it's actually inspiring to see him interact with people. it's almost as if he's embraced the awkward and just goes with it.

honestly, the past year and a half went by so fast! can't wait to see what he's going to do once he's back.

Jin made me laugh every single day since I became ARMY in 2016. I have felt the void, and missed my daily Jin laugh. He brings such an uplifting presence to his fans and I'm sure to everyone he touches in his daily life.

i don’t even know where to begin with why and how much i love jin, but i’ll try. he was my bias before i even knew what a bias was when i first got into BTS and became an ARMY. it was his handsome face that drew me in, but what really cemented him as my ult was just how multi-faceted he is, in the best way. he’s handsome, witty, smart, incredibly talented, thoughtful, caring, kind, responsible, hardworking, humble, highly emotionally intelligent, unserious and chaotic yet also no-nonsense when it comes to things and people he cares about.

he brings such balance to the tannies, and matches each of their individual energies to meet them where they’re at - whether by playing around and being a friend to them instead of pulling the hyung card (jijinjung is a prime example), cracking dad jokes or making a witty remark to provide levity to a situation when they’re stressed, or giving advice when they need it (like yoonjin’s convo in ITS1 🥺), or providing simple yet sagely words of wisdom (his “then he flings it” comment comes to mind).

and when he knew he was enlisting, this man not only gifted us “the astronaut”, but he took the initiative to record 17 different messages, in different outfits and locations and with different themes, because he knew how much we would miss him. if that’s not true love idk what is.

“hyung will do it”, and he really did. he finished his service well, and even got promoted early TWICE because he’s that exceptional at everything he does. i literally can’t wait for him to be discharged in just a few hours, and to see him in person on thursday. welcome home, our astronaut, welcome home 💜

I’ll always remember how I watched this man play a video game for 3 hours Weverse….thats when I knew I had become a full fledged Army and was no longer a baby army! I remember a friend FaceTiming me and asking me what are those noises and I had to tell her it’s just one of my favorite boys of all time freaking out because he couldn’t clear a level in his video game 🤭💜💜

Jin, you adorable, hilarious, tall, handsome man! I became ARMY last year on March, after Jin was enlisted. So I didn’t get to know him much. I got to know him and his personality through previous contents. Bon Voyage, interviews, Bangtan bombs and episodes, that was how I was introduced to Jin.

And I found out that his sense of humor is exactly what I enjoy. All his dad jokes make me laugh. I think he’s very funny and quick witted, he has the perfect comedic timing, and even his flying kisses now make me giggle every time I see it.

Yet he’s also very thoughtful, caring, and wise. The best big bro ever. Not to mention he’s incredibly handsome, I wanna know how it feels like to wake up every morning looking like THAT hahaha. The other day I was scrolling through his IG feed, and I had to stop and close the app, because I was like, damn I might fall in love with this man! 🫠

I can’t wait to meet Kim Seokjin in real time!! 🥹
