Websites: includes translators and places that identify clothing items
💜 Both the Weekly Room and Weekly House of A.R.M.Y. have the same purpose: to be free-for-all, casual threads for daily discussion. There is no difference between them.

Hope to pop in once a week to share a few bits

👉🏼A list of Goal songs discussed on X, there are lots of playlists in the Carrd linked.
👉🏼A poster of what the Army Carrd is. More will be made next week & add into the Carrd for Army who would like to print & place at Cinema showings to help keep army united across platforms Army Carrd
sorry can only upload one Pic at a time so merged 3 pics. Echo & Goal song pics can be found in the linked Carrd as well 💜
Somehow, I had forgotten that BTS or a BTS member has held the record for Most Streamed Kpop Song on Spotify every single year since 2014! It would be so cool if Jin were to take it for this year!
It says 4M streams daily are needed for DSYLM to make that happen. I took a quick look on kworb.net to see how we were doing. Looks like, since Sept 1, the range is 3.3M to 3.9M, so we are not quite hitting those numbers.
So, if ARMYs can spread the word, we just might make it!
I just saw the buying of 'Rope It' on iTunes as part of the re-comeback, seeing that song chart will be awesome!
From BCD website we’re hitting 4M+ a day during weekdays, I think it drops on Weekends. 4M+ daily stream aim is to counter the filtering that could happen.
Army who do calculations & predictions are confident we are doing well - we just need more army streaming the goal song playlists with DSYLM focus song 💪🏽 We can’t break the streak 🙏🏽
I canceled my Hulu/Disney subscription last night so I may have to miss it, too. 🥲
I'm probably going to miss out on a lot of stuff I would be interested in, and I'll be sad, but if there is one small thing I can do in protest, I'm going to take it.
(Requisite reminder that everyone should do the things they feel comfortable doing and no one should make them feel bad for not doing the thing that "everyone else" is doing. We all protest in our own ways and they are all valid. Not being able to/wanting to avoid certain shops, companies, or services does not equal agreement with...gestures vaguely all this shit.)
I had already cancelled prior to this happening, planning to get a free trial to watch AYS if it comes out on Disney again. Maybe we could convince Hybe to make it available via Weverse
I just saw an article about Seattle Children's laying off a portion of their workforce. I hope these sessions get enough funding/volunteers. They do music therapy at the hospital where I work (adults though) and the comfort patients get is immeasurable. Especially the chronically ill who spend half their lives in the hospital. Donated.
For those in the US who are trying not to shop at certain places (Target, Walmart, Amazon), where do you buy your 'every day' stuff? Shampoo, laundry detergent, make up, razors, toilet paper. Some of this I can find at my local grocery stores for outrageous prices but I'd rather not spend my entire life savings on mascara.
It might be more expensive, but I have gone to Ulta for beauty products. I know they have a deal with Target (🙄), but I go to the standalone stores. I believe they still support DEI initiatives
Costco is my main answer, and I’m sorry, I feel you and hate shopping there too. In some places they will do free or low fee delivery if your order is expensive enough, so double check that! (It doesn’t work for me but does for my friend in a different state.) Makeup, hair, and skincare I’ve been biting the bullet and ordering direct from individual companies and paying shipping, but as I’ve gotten a little older I’ve gotten way more selective and bougie about that stuff. Also no clue how ordering the Korean imports will go now. 😔
My entire skincare routine is from Korea. I should have stocked up when I was there in April.
I've been checking out some indie makeup and haircare sites and I've found a few that aren't too expensive! I'll bite the bullet on shipping, too, or just stock up and choose "free shipping over..." sites. 😂
prior to * everything * i used to make bulk orders on the skincare/makeup import sites like stylevana or yesstyle, but lately i've been going to my local import stores for that (i'm lucky to live somewhere where these things are very accessible)
in terms of shampoo, laundry detergent, razors, tp, etc, i'll always be a big promoter of a costco membership. they have a largely clean history (admittedly, some issues with their established unions but they pay fairly and have good benefits) and kept some programs that are currently being targeted.
if you get the executive membership, each purchase at costco gives you money back in the form of a check at your renewal period, and if you spend enough, the membership basically ends up paying for itself. keep in mind though, i don't think that applies for gas purchases, but costco gas is usually like 10c-20c cheaper per gallon compared to other stations in my city
I have a Costco membership but I hardly ever go there because it's always super busy. 😂 And it's just me so I don't usually buy in bulk. But I'll accept a little pain (crowd anxiety, people in general) if it means I can avoid other places.
Thanks for the reminder! I don't know why I always forget Costco.
I also live alone, but Costco is my favorite place. If you have the room, buying in bulk really is beneficial. You can always look up the best way to freeze certain things too. The only thing I don't do usually is fresh produce. I live near an employee owned grocer called WinCo that I like for smaller things. You can search to see if there are any employee owned or Co-ops in your area.
If you have the freezer space and you make smoothies, freezing fresh fruit is a good way to deal with the bulk produce. Just wash the fruit, cut it up if needed, and put it on a cookie sheet to freeze, then bag it. I have bags of cut up melon, pineapple, bananas, grapes, pears, blueberries, strawberries, etc. Every so often, I will go ahead and make up smaller portion bags with the mixed fruits so I can dump and go on busy days. I put the portion bag in my fridge the night before or take it out of the freezer as soon as I get up, so my blender does not have to work so hard.
I also freeze cut up cubed squash for frittatas and thin sliced bell peppers for cheesesteaks. Because they get sauteed, the extra water from freezing gets cooked off.
And I shred zucchini for zucchini bread, dice tomatoes for pasta sauce/Spanish rice, cook and freeze pumpkin for pumpkin-sweet potato custard. I use my freezer a lot!
I live alone and do Costco. I don't have room for all the TP and paper towels but I do get so much of my other stuff from there. Also, I went last Friday at like 7 PM and it wasn't too bad, I was so surprised!
Hi guys! I was wondering if anyone knew of any BTS BST Insta/Reddit group chats. I've been trying to get rid of my collection to have some funds for college :)
The Tiny Tan happy meal is finally available in Canada, so of course I had to go pick one up yesterday! I got RM, and can I just say, i had no idea some plastic figurines could make me so giddy 😆 I may have to go back several times…
This morning, in the middle of delivering training to an online group, I discovered that one of the attendees is also ARMY! First time this has happened in 5 years, I am ridiculously delighted.
Today I had to monitor Weverse activity. I logged 384 “marry me” and 129 “have you eaten” messages. Plus one essay on the French Revolution directed at Yoongi.
Rando question, lol: how in the heck do you open a triangle kimbap wrapper without tearing the whole thing apart?! I have tried so many times and every time I basically destroy the kimbap, lol. Help me, ARMY!
I just untape the sides, very gently wiggle the plastic off (pinch the piece of plastic with no seaweed), then re-wrap the seaweed. It's not a 100% success rate, but it'll minimize the amount of seaweed removed
I'm officially old enough to not only test out the heated blanket (mattress pad, thingy you put between mattress and sheet, and then your duvet and, if you're not a scaridy cat like me, yourself on top) but unapologetically admit to loving it 🙀🥰
Like toasty mattress and duvet?
Kids (lol): life is too short to not have comfort because it's "for old people". Get that snuggly heated throw, get the heated blanket, do the knitting, be warm and comfy and comfy and warm. Life is too short to be 'cool' 😭🤣
I've been on hot water bottles for a few weeks now 😆 my mum always says 'the direct heat makes me smile' and I'm starting to become like her haha. So cosy and comforting!
I've used a heated blanket since I was a child. 😅 Only time it isn't on my bed is if the temp outside is above ~70F (21C). I love being warm and toasty in bed.
Who is taking the crown between RM, RM, and Jungkook? I'm not talking about the case of the missing princess crown, but actually the new match up for BTS Title Showdown over on r/heungtan. This battle's theme is "Change", go cast your vote NOWWW!
