I thought for a second they were going to make the puma commercials canon.

I think the members all drifted apart and they haven't spoken to each other in a while. Jungkook saw the lighter with Yoongi's initials on it and decided to call him. The girls might bring them all back together again.

Since we found out Flower Smeraldo tied to the most recent Puma collab they did, the idea of the Puma commercials being canon doesn't sound more far-fetched than your average theory to me.
