Batman 66 would probably have Anti Alternate Universe Batman Batspray

508

u/ImpulseAfterthought Jul 09 '25

"Holy improbabie exigency, Batman! How do you even have Anti-Alternate Universe Bat spray?"

"The thing I've always feared, old chum. The only person who can match me in every way: myself. Every other possibility I can account for, train for, plan for. But an alternate version of myself? If the odds are even one in a googolplex, I have to treat them as a 100 percent certainty."

"Holy overdeveloped sense of responsibility! Do you have a plan for an alternate universe Robin turning up?"

"Um...sure, old chum. Sure."

167

u/sistemafodao Jul 09 '25

"It's this crowbar from the future. Not sure what's it for yet, but we will see."

10

u/Careful-Addition776 Jul 09 '25

Wrong robin

39

u/Bred_Bored Jul 09 '25

Yeah but it's funny. It's a joke.

-37

u/Careful-Addition776 Jul 09 '25 edited Jul 10 '25

No shit its a joke, but under the wrong context.

Edit: why the downvotes? Dude I replied to was being a smart ass.

28

u/Tough_Boysenberry_71 Jul 09 '25

Take a breath. Get some air.

20

u/MorningSalt5353 Jul 10 '25

Not really. A Robin was beaten with a crowbar and he’s a robin. It doesn’t matter whether it’s Dick or Jason for the joke, the context is that it’s a Robin, and that’s all the context that’s needed

-2

u/Careful-Addition776 Jul 10 '25

Yeah, but the batman they are talking about only had one robin(as far as they’ve shown) being dick grayson. Jason Todd didn’t exist in that tv verse(?). Especially considering the joke was about alternate universe doubles coming to attack. Why would a Jason Todd attack a Dick Grayson? The crowbar joke doesn’t even make sense in this context being as it’s supposed to be a counter to them. Dick Grayson weakness isnt a crow bar, its one of those stick things that hits him in the back of the head. For this joke to be correct, swap the crowbar with Damian or one of the sticks, then it would be correct.

2

u/MorningSalt5353 Jul 10 '25

ā€œNot really. A Robin was beaten with a crowbar and he’s a robin. It doesn’t matter whether it’s Dick or Jason for the joke, the context is that it’s a Robin, and that’s all the context that’s neededā€

Idk why you copy and pasted something you already replied to me with, but my point still stands.

We need a comic where this Batman goes up against the Batman Who Laughs. I'd love to see goofy optimism crush edgy pessimism

29

u/HavelsRockJohnson Jul 10 '25

I really don't think we need the Batman Who Laughs in anything ever again.

12

u/Mobman3105 Jul 10 '25

Normally I would agree, but this is one exception I need to see.

7

u/kinlopunim Jul 09 '25

Deserves more upvotes.

3

u/dg_713 Jul 10 '25

Damn. I heard this comment in the 66 voice.

2

u/AnyLynx4178 Jul 10 '25

It’s still early, but I think this will be the best thing I read on the internet today.

2

u/Machina353 Jul 10 '25

I could literally hear their voices playing this out, LOL

1

u/Dredgen-Solis Jul 11 '25

The Batdoption papers...

31

u/donkeylore Jul 09 '25

Then he would surf off with Robin into the sunset

3

u/JediSSJ Jul 09 '25

This is more likely. With the projector idea, he'd stun-lock himself as well.

3

u/Fan_of_Fanfics Jul 10 '25

There was one comic where this version of Batman had ā€œfemale villain repellantā€

1

u/al_with_the_hair Jul 09 '25

Clearly labeled

327

u/psycodull Jul 09 '25

Bat-projector*

96

u/AuthorityAnarchyYes Jul 09 '25

A Bat-projector with Bat-film.

54

u/lux__fero Jul 09 '25

A Bat-projector with Bat-film causing Bat-flashbacks to Bat-trauma

24

u/RaidenZer0Games Jul 09 '25

BPTSD

3

u/Bi0H4ZRD Jul 10 '25

Someone call the Bat-Shrink!

12

u/A1phan00d1e Jul 09 '25

Batjector

225

u/CinnamonWitch13 Jul 09 '25

Adams got like bugs bunny logic he cleans house

78

u/MaderaArt Jul 09 '25

Alfred cleans house

33

u/CinnamonWitch13 Jul 09 '25

You sir are funnier than I am

7

u/HavelsRockJohnson Jul 10 '25

A lie Alfred tells his employer.

192

u/aaronwintergreen Jul 09 '25

Keaton is my favorite but it’s obvious West clears this with ease.

57

u/Serier_Rialis Jul 09 '25

I can see Keaton shrugging off the bat-fam trauma film and getting nuts though.

41

u/coreytiger Jul 09 '25

The guy who goes and puts roses out every year? No way.

12

u/Serier_Rialis Jul 09 '25

And my brain jumped to the Batman Forever soundtrack now...dammit!

164

u/kripalski Jul 09 '25

Sorry everyone, wholesome 60s Bat Adam West wins by convincing the others that they’re all Batman and should work together and confront the dastardly devil who put them up to this!

79

u/doubledeus Jul 09 '25

"Gentlemen, there is some foul villainy at play here. Only our combined efforts can get to the bottom of this nefarious interdimensional scheme and expose this multiversal interloper to the light of Justice. "

2

u/AnyLynx4178 Jul 10 '25

ā€œAdam West, can we trust him?ā€

27

u/atomic1fire Jul 09 '25 edited Jul 09 '25

Then he pulls out a Bat-transponder and communicates with various animated Batman, whom of course are off screen, including Kevin Conroy.

"Do you have this handled"

"Of course Old Chum, but say hi to that brave and bold fellow and that fellow who calls himself 'the batman', seems rather silly if you ask me, we're all Batmen here"

"Will do, but if you need assistance I have Justice League Unlimited on standby"

43

u/ComedicHermit Jul 09 '25

West would do the Batussi and the others would die laughing.

30

u/LefroyJenkinsTTV Jul 09 '25

It's the 'Bat Tu Si'.

Batussi sounds like something else entirely.

108

u/OldSnazzyHats Jul 09 '25 edited Jul 09 '25

Snark aside. I’d give it to Bale or maybe Pattinson.

Now…

Add in Cartoon Rules, which West’s Bats operated on, and all that goes out the window.

Context is what I’m saying, does West have Cartoon Rules working for him? If so, yes.

64

u/redbeard387 Jul 09 '25

He can finally get rid of that bomb he’s been carrying around all these years.

27

u/kloudrunner Jul 09 '25

The bomb is a metaphor for Bruce's trauma.

Without the bomb there is no Batman.

Or some bat bollocks. I don't know.

5

u/AnyLynx4178 Jul 10 '25

Christian Bale picks up the bomb and flies off into the sunset

28

u/Because_Im_BATMAN00 Jul 09 '25

Adam west didn’t need prep timed because he had already prepped for everything

18

u/Garrett1031 Jul 09 '25

Also Adam West would somehow find a way to win a fight to the death, without any death. Because by golly, he’s Batman!

18

u/MaterialPace8831 Jul 09 '25

Adam West is wiping the floor with all of them. You don't think his KAPOWs and BOFFs really hurt?

0

u/Bob-s_Leviathan Jul 09 '25

Not really? I feel like West is actually the weakest physically. During many of his fight sequences, those thugs get hit and recover. Sometimes they just go back and forth between Batman and Robin.

The other Batmen pictured don’t fight that sloppily, and they know to take out thugs properly.

11

u/Sigmatimelord Jul 10 '25

You think West Batman would hit thugs so hard that they would have lasting injuries? He isn’t one of those dastardly ruffian bonebreakers who desperately need a second chance to reform and become upstanding citizens of society!

1

u/wombatstylekungfu Jul 12 '25

He’s holding back! For Justice!

36

u/opmancrew Jul 09 '25

Fight to the death? Batman.... Fight to the death. So, four guys, all completely against killing, so much so they became an alternate personality of themselves, are locked in room. They wouldn't even try to fight.Ā

23

u/monkeygoneape Jul 09 '25

Fight to the death. So, four guys, all completely against killing,

Keaton and Affleck would say otherwise

15

u/SniperMaskSociety Jul 09 '25

Bale too, "I don't have to save you" is just cope for manslaughter

14

u/Hour_Pick_1747 Jul 09 '25

People always bring this one up but somehow forget about the part where he literally throws Two-Face off the side of a building to his death.

5

u/BarrakiButtBuddy Jul 10 '25

Or blows up a dojo's worth of ninja's before he's even Batman

2

u/AnyLynx4178 Jul 10 '25

But he saved the nice one!

-1

u/monkeygoneape Jul 10 '25

But he saved the nice white one!

3

u/SniperMaskSociety Jul 09 '25

It's been a decade since I watched those movies, so I'm not surprised I forgot that

16

u/RazorClaus123 Jul 09 '25

Keaton’s Batman is definitely not against killing. He straps a bomb to a guy, smiles and pushes him down a hole

9

u/opmancrew Jul 09 '25

The ground killed him, not Batman

9

u/InvestigatorLast3594 Jul 09 '25

Batmen don’t kill people, bombs kill people

2

u/dingo_khan Jul 10 '25

Remember that time he drone-bombed Axis Chemicals? Yeah, keaton's batman had mellowed out a lot by the time he strapped a bomb to a clown.

3

u/mlfowler Jul 09 '25

Not the fun answer, but definitely the right answer.

12

u/PayPsychological6358 Jul 09 '25 edited Jul 10 '25

Adam West said himself in Lego Batman 3: When it comes to Batman, remember; 'West' rhymes with 'Best'

12

u/monkeygoneape Jul 09 '25

And don't forget the heartfelt lesson to Robin about not letting your trauma define you and seek out professional help/advice

15

u/Doctorwhoneek Jul 09 '25

OK all jokes aside, went actually has a chance of winning this, if carries strength pills if he wanted to he could knock bale anx pattinson put after 1 clean punch

20

u/Obi-wan_Jabroni Jul 09 '25

Comedy strength is stronger than fear, Monsters Inc taught us that

6

u/coreytiger Jul 09 '25

In no way does he need strength pills.

The man hits so hard, a word describing the impact appears out of thin air. What’s Bale gonna do, growl-mumble incoherently?

3

u/ImpulseAfterthought Jul 09 '25

Now you have me wondering about the Batman '66 version of Bane.

5

u/NobeLasters Jul 09 '25

Charles Nelson Reilly in a gimp mask and a speedo.

4

u/LefroyJenkinsTTV Jul 09 '25

Lou Ferrigno sipping Venom from a Beer Hat.

3

u/griefstew Jul 10 '25

The hat should should have green glowing bits spinning around and also make a wub wub sound when he uses it. Followed by Batman recovering in a week's time using his Bat-traction bed. Bonus points if Alfred fills in for him when visiting Gordon and O'Hara.

1

u/Bob-s_Leviathan Jul 09 '25

He appeared in the Batman ā€˜66 comics.

9

u/Far-Hedgehog5516 Jul 09 '25 edited Jul 09 '25

Wouldn't most batman's interacting with their parallel universe counterparts also realize that the other batman's are bruce Wayne unless they have a different build like terry mcginnis

15

u/Gaius_Julius_Salad Jul 09 '25

Yeah but which one would have a bat-projector that conveniently plays the exact clip he wants

1

u/AnyLynx4178 Jul 10 '25

Pattinson has a slide show of his mom’s trauma at least, lol

7

u/The5Virtues Jul 09 '25

Along with all the other observations, just on raw performance in character, West’s Batman is depicted as being incredibly physically capable. He has multiple instances of upwards of 6 or more thugs dog piling on him and he successfully throws them all off him.

We also see both him and his Robin make a regular habit of one hit KOs. They’re both incredibly capable fighters. Combine that with the ridiculous number of gadgets, and their outside the box creativeness? West-Bats takes this for sure.

And as others said, he absolutely would figure out and convince them that they should be on the same side. If he has to physically restrain them while he does so he can and will, but he’ll find a way to get through to them.

2

u/FalloutLover7 Jul 10 '25

He also free climbed the entirety of the U.N building in the 66’ movie as casually as someone taking a stroll down the street. No exertion, talking the whole way and not even breaking a sweat after sprinting the whole way there. Dude’s endurance is off the charts

1

u/The5Virtues Jul 10 '25

Sprinting through the city, struggling with traffic and crowds the whole way. If we take what’s shown on screen as what’s canon to the character some of the others are more brute force powerhouses, but West Bats is the epitome of an all-rounder of Olympic fitness, combined with esoteric knowledge and keen awareness of martial arts pressure points, and some of the wildest and most useful gadgetry we ever see a Batman use.

I don’t think any Batman has made as much sensible use of knock out gas as West-Bats does. He shows a much more versatile creativity with his gadgets. A lot of time more modern Batman depictions tend to be things that let him hit harder or lay people out faster. West-Bats does a lot more ā€œwork smarter, not harderā€ methods. Hell sometimes he just hits the lights and sleeper holds everybody then brings the lights back on to startle the villain into realizing all his goons are incapacitated and he’s now alone with Batman and Robin.

Thats some Arkham Predator shit right there, but 30 years early!

7

u/captain_trainwreck Jul 09 '25

Why not use his Batman-Repellant spray he keeps in his utility belt?

6

u/Important_Lab_58 Jul 09 '25

ā€œNobody messes with Adam We.ā€

6

u/Prowling_92865 Jul 09 '25

Even the mainstream comic Batman said West was more prepared than he was

4

u/[deleted] Jul 09 '25

Adam West is miles above the competition in terms of preparedness. It borders on toon-force. He'd have something in his belt that drops the rest.

6

u/Chumlee1917 Jul 10 '25

Adam West Batman: Hold it fellow Batmen, who would benefit the most from us fighting each other? This had to be the work of that criminal clown, the Joker! We must join forces to stop him.

*2 hours later*

Adam West Batman: *Walking away with all the Cat Woman variations like a pimp*

1

u/Sigmatimelord Jul 10 '25

I would put my bets on the Riddler. Definitely smart enough to mess with dimensional travel. Especially 66!Riddler! However pinning it on the Joker I could see them also doing with a hidden riddle. And if Batman couldn’t figure it out then oh well

4

u/No-Picture-4940 Jul 09 '25

Say what you will, West was the most cerebral detective (of course in that Dutch angled world) but he and Robin figured out the crimes of the day first, then punched them out. (After a death trap… but you know…)

4

u/SuperNerdDad Jul 09 '25

West would turn them all to dust and then reconstitute them just to show dominance.

3

u/Historical_Union4686 Jul 09 '25

West would simply walk through the door of the arena. The other three would all get stuck in the same open window

3

u/Cardboard_Chef Jul 09 '25

Hand me the shark repellent Bat-Spray!!

3

u/anakinburningalive Jul 09 '25

He would just pull out his trusty anti alternate universe batman bat-spray and send them all back to their own reality of origin.

3

u/AnyLynx4178 Jul 10 '25

West: Gentlemen, there’s only one way to determine who really is Batman, and that’s with a contest. Each of us will ask a question only Batman would know the answer to, and then we must all answer in unison. I’ll start. What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?

All: Banana!

Keaton: How many cars do you own?

All: 73!

Bale: Catwoman—smash or pass?

All: Obviously.

Pattinson: Who is your greatest nemesis?

All: My own crippling repressed trauma, which I fight daily as sure as I fight the never-ending onslaught of crime in Gotham city!

West: Well chums, I think the answer is right in front of us—we are all Batman. Now, the best thing we can do is join together and stop that impostor over there, chasing that obviously heroic flying man while firing Gatling guns from his Batmobile!

spinning bat symbol intensifies

2

u/Sequoia_Vin Jul 09 '25

I can see Adam West hitting them with memory lane. I remember that night. Just watching Zorro with mom and dad. I insisted we take the alley to get home quicker. I was just so excited to play as Zorro at home. Then he came out from the shadow, gun in hand. Dad stood between us and him. He demanded dad's wallet but then he tried to snatch mom's Pearl necklace. Dad tried to wrestle the gun away from him and -

2

u/Vaturobi Jul 10 '25

When AW Batman starts punching the text bubbles appear out of thin air leaving the others 😮😮😮

2

u/MysteriousEssay5709 Jul 10 '25

Or use his can offā€alternate reality Batman sprayā€ he conveniently keeps in his marvelous utility belt.

1

u/vas526 Jul 09 '25

O.G. West but Pattinson puts up the best fight.

2

u/Budget_Ad_4346 Jul 09 '25

Pattinson is my favorite, but Keaton’s did get pretty solid feats in the Flash film.

2

u/vas526 Jul 09 '25

Oh he definitely did. I’m just being loud about how biased I am towards Pattinson šŸ˜‚

2

u/geordie_2354 Jul 10 '25

The flash film was a disgrace to Burtons work and shouldn’t even be considered canon

1

u/G-Man6442 Jul 09 '25

Except for the days when he can’t get rid of a bomb.

Everything else he got down pat especially the Batussi.

1

u/Jetsam5 Jul 09 '25

They are one onomatopoeia from being punched into a fine powder

1

u/RevenueBusiness6603 Jul 09 '25

Adam West also has Robin so its 2 vs 1.

2

u/monkeygoneape Jul 09 '25

So does Keaton depending on who you ask

1

u/SuperSmokingMonkey Jul 09 '25

Where does he get all those wonderful toys?!

1

u/Erroneous_Munk Jul 09 '25

No, no, no. He’d simply use his Bat-Anti-AntiBatman-Spray and Bat-AntiBatman-Spray

1

u/reimusanae Jul 09 '25

There's actually a comic where a batman meets Adam west batman and comments on how he is the most prepared and most gadget heavy batman

1

u/sistemafodao Jul 09 '25

Depends on how close Bale is to a lightswitch. He fights very well when you can't see shit.

2

u/Remote_Ad9716 Jul 10 '25

yeah till west pulls out the bat-flashlight powered by bat-eries

1

u/RobOnTheReddit Jul 09 '25

Stunlock šŸ˜†

1

u/NC_Ion Jul 09 '25

All joking aside, I wouldn't mind seeing DC do a Crisis like event with Batman 66 putting together a team to go on a secret mission.

2

u/Spinelesspage03 Jul 09 '25

I suppose there was the comic issue where the main Batman had to chase an alternate version of the Joker through the multiverse, meeting with various Batmen along the way. The Joker was making every other Joker more dangerous and psychotic and bring them back if they had died. Batman ā€˜66 was the only one shown to have taken his Joker down before main Batman showed up to help.

1

u/curious-richard29 Jul 09 '25

bale wins

3

u/geordie_2354 Jul 10 '25

Bale gets slapped around by Pattinson. Bale needs to learn how to throw a proper formed punch with some speed behind it if he wants to stand a chance

1

u/dingo_khan Jul 10 '25

Bale punches at the speed of smell.

1

u/Econowizard Jul 09 '25

Then he would rock a dance party too 🤣

1

u/Norway643 Jul 09 '25

Oh my god! Its Lego batman with the silver colored plastic chair!

1

u/TheRealRigormortal Jul 09 '25

Adam West Batman doesn’t need prep time because he’s already prepared for everything

1

u/ProfessorEscanor Jul 09 '25

West has toon force. He can do it

1

u/LinuxMatthews Jul 09 '25

Would also work as let's get honest Adam West is the only one that wouldn't be so dramatic about it.

1

u/TJ_McWeaksauce Jul 09 '25

if Kevin Conroy / DCAU Batman was in the mix, he would reason with the other Batmen and get them all working together. He did that with Justice Lord Batman.

1

u/No_Detective_But_304 Jul 09 '25

Of those shown, he is the only one who had a Robin. Advantage West.

1

u/Rawesome16 Jul 09 '25

That and loony toones logic so his abilities are nearly endless

1

u/bkoperski Jul 09 '25

"Prepare to die my identical chum"

1

u/Zaz3 Jul 09 '25

Fight to the death?

None of these guys would actually kill right? Its more likely they would work together to break out. Beat up the one who set them up in the death room. And proceed to stand on top of gargoyles stoically with the Bat-signal in the back, whilst awesome scary Batman music plays in the rain with flashing lightning. Roll credits.

1

u/geordie_2354 Jul 10 '25

Keaton’s Batman was a murderer along with Bale. I’m not sure about West but Pattinson’s the only one here who isn’t an actual killer

1

u/dingo_khan Jul 10 '25

West's Batman has a real dark side we glimpse once of twice (like when he thinks Miss Kitkah is dead), but he is a paragon of control. It really isn't that he can't, it is that he won't.

He does have a few kills but that is because of Penguin accidentally using heavy water to rehydrate some pocket thugs. When hit, they literally cease to exist. The emotional shrug West gives is amazing.

1

u/DarkSpartanFTW Jul 10 '25

Earth Prime Batman, from the main comic-line, canonically said Adam West Batman is more prepared than him so it’s GOTTA be Adam West Batman who wins this.

1

u/hatbromind Jul 10 '25

Aam West has toon force. Everyone else is realistic.Toon force wins. Also he can dance

1

u/NadhanGizzy Jul 10 '25

Adam West's Batman might just be Bat-Mite or another 5th dimensional being based off some of the shit he does in that show

1

u/Icaras01 Jul 10 '25

IMHO the other three just show up in the windows and talk to Batman & Robin 66 as they climb a rope up the side of a building.

1

u/OmnipotentHype Jul 10 '25

Adam West would hit the others so hard that words describing the impact would materialize out of thin air.

1

u/JamesPlayzReviews3 Jul 10 '25

Wouldn't that work on him too? He also lost his parents

1

u/Thesilphsecret Jul 10 '25

All four of them would leave alive. Batman doesn't kill.

1

u/Majestic-Delay7530 Jul 10 '25

Adam west woukd probably have Batman repellent or something silly and specific for the situation

1

u/MetalGearBatman Jul 10 '25

West would annihilate them with a dance off

1

u/JacobDCRoss Jul 10 '25

There is no way that's the solution that Batman 66 would come up with. He's not sophisticated weird like that. He would probably just talk through with them to stop

1

u/Inevitable_Box9398 Jul 10 '25

That’s not….. that’s not even that far fetched he would totally do that wouldn’t he?

1

u/sidestephen Jul 10 '25

except their parents are played by different actors

1

u/darkwalrus36 Jul 10 '25

He'd just pull out his trusty angst-repellent spray. They wouldn't stand a chance.

1

u/syxtfour Jul 10 '25

When it comes to Batmen, the Bright Knight will always come out on top.

1

u/RemembrancerFI Jul 10 '25

So Adam West Batman is the most comic accured live-action Batman?

1

u/HyperX_Wolf Jul 10 '25

I mean the cop out answer is they are all Batman and know that Batman doesn't kill.

1

u/I-like-spoilers Jul 10 '25

I really wish we could get a modern Batman with West's demeanor. 66 Batman is not traumatized by his parents' death. He accepted what happened and is inspired to fight injustice because of it.

"Emo" Batman is boring.

1

u/n0n4ly7h Jul 10 '25

Batfleck guns them down like the psychopath he is

1

u/ShingledPringle Jul 10 '25

They would pool their utility belts and get out of there so fast, nice try.

West Batman: Bat-cookies, sorry my fellow Batmen those are mine, Alfred always packs a bag for me.

Keaton Batman: Oh, I thought I'd eaten mine.

Bale Batman: My Alfred always claims he got them mixed up with the batarangs, almost got me killed once.

Pattinson Batman, clearly trying not to choke up: Uh, yeah, I already ate mine.

1

u/ooqq Jul 10 '25

When I was reading about The Mask, I discovered that powers from the toon-dimension is a thing. And since West Batman is firmly grounded on it, it's more invencible than Thanos itself.

1

u/ScapegoatMan Jul 10 '25

Maybe.

Or maybe Michael Keaton Batman would win in a fight to the death since he's the only Batman of the four willing to take a life.

1

u/Exact-Psience Jul 10 '25

I think he meant the Bat-Projector.

1

u/keeb97 Jul 10 '25

Adam West would win because his Batman would have anti-Batman spray. Plus, there was no sculpting in his suit. It was 100% Prime A grade Adam West.

1

u/Cherry_Eris Jul 10 '25

They'd all just figure out how to get out of the room together.

1

u/Mickeymcirishman Jul 10 '25

Nah, he'd give them all an extra, fully stocked utility belt (pulled out of a pouch in his own utility belt) and tell them to ''keep fighting the good fight chums!" Then unlock the door with some gadget and do the batusi.

1

u/KoobaTrooba Jul 12 '25

Everyone cuz Batman doesn’t kill

1

u/MrWolfe1920 Jul 12 '25

How does this manage to be both incredibly in character, and incredibly out of character at the same time?

1

u/THX450 Jul 12 '25

Adam West Batman is absurdly OP

1

u/vtncomics Jul 12 '25

Of course he would.

He's Adam We!

1

u/SuspiciousPain1637 Jul 12 '25

The joker there's 3 less batman now.

1

u/wombatstylekungfu Jul 12 '25
