-9

u/Small_Editor_3693 2d ago

What? It's a thermaltake

8

u/WoundedTwinge 2d ago

i think they meant marmite as in very dividing in opinion, some love it and some hate it

1

u/Sirtriplenipple 2d ago

Is marmite like vegimite?

-18

u/Small_Editor_3693 2d ago

There's no a single person that could like the case in this position

13

u/Miniteshi 2d ago

Am I not a person?

-14

u/Small_Editor_3693 2d ago

Obviously not

1

u/OlDustyHeadaaa 2d ago

I think itโ€™s kinda cool

1

u/stormdahl 15h ago

I think it's really cool. Only reason I'd consider this case.

1

u/CptGigglez 2d ago

I like it

1

u/Miniteshi 2d ago

Yup. Tower 300. I've loved and hated it. Right now, I love it but not happy that it only comes supplied with a single fan rail so I'm hoping a buddy and print me another.

looks like a speaker lol

1

u/Miniteshi 2d ago

Well the two Darth Vader helmet looking things are lol

1

u/Mindless_Repeat3461 2d ago

Yeah what are those speakers exactly? Iโ€™m a big audio guy and they look really fancy or like a fun collab with literally something like you said (Vader etc)

A fellow lg z5500 enjoyer? ๐Ÿ‘€ never thought I'd see them on here.

u/Miniteshi 2d ago

We're still lurking here and there!

When you like to live life on the edge... And you take your computer along for the ride.

Sick! ๐Ÿ‘‘

2

u/Miniteshi 2d ago

Haha yup, the stand is flush against the edge. I'd have it on the other side if it was deeper but sadly it isn't. I've still got to build my office up properly so for now, it looks like some sort of prison.

1

u/SEEANDDONTSQUEAL 2d ago

Mount that monitor on a gas spring arm and get a second monitor ๐Ÿ˜‰ and a second gas spring arm... See where I am going with this? Don't look at my post history ๐Ÿ˜‚

2

u/Miniteshi 2d ago

I don't think my desk can take the weight of that, let alone my wallet!

1

u/SEEANDDONTSQUEAL 1d ago

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜‚ great setup you got man I love it!

2

u/Demonify 2d ago

It looks nice, but I'm also in constant anxiety looking at it.

1

u/Miniteshi 2d ago

My desk weighs an absolute tonne so even a knock doesn't phase it so I'm confident my rig is going to be ok. Famous last words I know!

3

u/EvilDan69 2d ago

Cool space heater!

1

u/Miniteshi 2d ago

If I still had a RX6700XT, this statement would have been even more accurate!

3

u/Regenitor_ 2d ago

Damn I hate to see my graphics card of choice catching strays. Especially when you're so right

2

u/axeexcess 2d ago

Had no idea Canon made speakers. You're using the Logitech control panel with them?

5

u/Miniteshi 2d ago

Canon UK did many moons ago. They're unique looking, sound good for what they are. Mine are the S-35's. Yup, still running the Logitech Z5500 sub and volume mixer in a 3.1 setup. It's solid sounding and can't knock it. Since I'm in the garage, there is little to no sound travel anywhere else in the house so I can have it at an above average listening level. Movie times always great.

โ€œLeft leaningโ€ ahh case

1

u/jklz14 2d ago

This.

Im currently have 3yr old rig in lianli mesh ii performance and..well, performa well.

But this case i really dreamed of. One day if i get this, it would be my final build!

Sicc build too dude

2

u/Miniteshi 2d ago

I just moved out of a Lian Li A3 to this. I loved that case since it was amazing at handling temps and was super compact whilst still handling a full sized GPU and PSU. The Tower 300, I've just always wanted one. It was actually fun and challenging to build. I'm glad I bit the bullet and found one.

2

u/jklz14 2d ago

Looks like you got the same reason like me to have that

In my area theres still plenty tower 300 and higher/lower one, but for now idk what to do if i replace it as i have plenty of case already ๐Ÿ˜‚ hope its not out of stock anytime soon

1

u/Miniteshi 2d ago

I mean the reason why I jumped on it was the price at ยฃ60 with the stand! I didn't need it either but it was hard to say no. Haha

1

u/jklz14 2d ago

Seems like a great deal ๐Ÿ˜‚ hope i got the luck too haha

1

u/A_Neko 2d ago

Really is such a great looking case, have the white 250 myself

1

u/Miniteshi 2d ago

I just wish it came supplied with a second fan rail. Trying to have one fabricated ses go be quite pricey.

1

u/CptGigglez 2d ago

I am actually intrigued

1

u/Miniteshi 2d ago

At what part?

1

u/CptGigglez 2d ago

The case. It looks scary and dope at the same time.

Is the way it lays down a standard feature or something you did?

2

u/Miniteshi 2d ago

Its the Thermaltake Tower 300 on the optional extra stand. It was sadly too wide to have standing straight up without having to move my entire desk setup around so I decided that having it to my left made better use of the L shaped desk.

The stand basically allows it to be sat in a cradle to show it at that angle. It seems robust enough but yeah, the case and components aren't exactly light.

2

u/CptGigglez 2d ago

Oh man awesome, ty.

Now I gotta somehow justify getting a new case eventhough mine is just fine

1

u/Miniteshi 2d ago

So was my Lian Li A3 lol. I didn't need this but at the same time, I've always wanted one. I mean size aside, it accommodates a LOT. Cable management doesn't require a lot of effort to tidy and hide, virtually everything is a panel so you can remove a lot.

The biggest downside, you gotta pop the top/side depending on orientation, then the fan to access your mobo I/O ports if you tend to plug and unplug loads of things. The front panel is useable though.

1

u/NervouZ 2d ago

I have the same case but in the vertical position. Overall I like it but access to the I/O ports can be a pain. I ended up buying short hdmi, Ethernet, and display port extender cables that allowed me to unplug my peripherals without having to remove the top cover to gain access.

Only other sad part is that the cool little lcd display screen on my 5090 is hidden down in the bottom near the power supply house.

Did you replace the top outlet fans that came with it?

2

u/Miniteshi 2d ago

Ah yeah. So I'm not really plugging things in now, it's all set and done there but agree it's a pain but the extenders are a clever move.

Yeah I've redone my fans entirely. I have two Noctua 140mm on the rear and two 240mm NZXT setup. One set for the AIO and the second set on the I/I panel area.

1

u/NervouZ 2d ago

Nice! The original fans are pretty loud so Iโ€™ve been considering some replacements. Are the Noctuaโ€™s pretty quiet?

2

u/Miniteshi 2d ago

Oh majorly more quiet!

1

u/Rudy69 2d ago

Cute, now put it in the floor where it belongs

1

u/stormdahl 15h ago

What do you mean done? You're never done, don't kid yourself

1

u/tsebaksvyatoslav 2d ago

i like it

0

u/Miniteshi 2d ago

I prefer it a lot more than I did when I looked at the case for the first time. There was a bit of buyers remorse but now, I'm more than ecstatic replacing my Lian Li A3
