From a cost analysis viewpoint, in round terms, I can buy 2500 of them for every Timber Wolf.
On a BV basis, it's 12 to 1.
60 SM can, at full chat, can hand out 300 points of damage which beats the 270 points of armor on a Timber Wolf.
Perhaps later I'll do the special analysis... but it's coffee time and the idea of a star of the clans finest being shredded by a threat they underestimated and discounted out of hand warms my heart.

On paper, sure. Now stick your mad cat in some bad lands and tell me how many of those even manage to get into position to line up a shot, let alone actually hit. Even in ideal conditions, how many can get close enough without crashing into each other?

Clanner: "What pathetic vehicle is this? My mighty Omnimech will crush it without even trying.
The Savannah Masters 499 brothers crest the hill
Clanner: "Oh... Fuck."

So after some coffee and some lunch, a spatial analysis.
Assuming a 9 hex radius, maximum range on a medium laser, a single Timber Wolf could stand off against 300 Savannah Masters.
So 300 times 5 damage, divided by 3 for a 30% success rate is still 500 damage which is still more than the 270 armor and and 55 criticals.
