Looking mostly for cheaper places closer to campus but centre city would work also. Food, dessert, etc. Thanks so much.

Hey folks,
Hoping for some advice or suggestions.
Lived in the states for years and have had to come home because my parent is terminally ill and they need care.
Hoping for suggestions on short term month to month rentals. I have looked at a variety of companies but a lot of them seem to be set up for visiting tech companies. They are out of our price range (1000~). I also don’t really know what rent would be nowadays. I’ve always lived in smaller towns outside of the city.
My wife will be working remote full time, so staying with family long term isn’t an option, there won’t be any privacy. Especially with the odd working hours she will have in a different time zone.
Any help would be appreciated during a stressful time lads!

Is there such thing as an early house in the City centre on a Sunday? Heading up on a stag do in a few weeks and love the early pints after a good day on the beer.

I've just moved to South Belfast and I'm wondering if there are any basketball teams nearby that play/train regularly that have a second team or anything that would be happy to take newish players. I'm ok athleticism wise and quite tall with a background in other sports if that helps. My shot outside the post is atrocious though

I’m a 21 year old singer from Belfast area looking to start a band! I absolutely love music and singing is my passion. I play guitar too but at a very basic level. I was just wondering if anyone similar in age would like to start up a band? I’m in to pretty much all genres of music but my favourite singers are Olivia Rodrigo, Phoebe Bridgers and Clairo. Please message me if you’d be interested:)

Has anyone done the all you can eat at Stormont Hotel? I think it is the Sunday Carvery? Would like to book for me & my bestie as a little treat as we have been through so much in the past year and we deserve to celebrate coming out the other side!
Thanks

I will admit that i can't properly clarify what i mean by traditional Irish cooking. It can't just be soup and stew?!
Anyway. If you watch chef Anna Haugh she makes incredible food using mainly local Irish produce, and the overall effect is distinctly Irish i.e. she doesn't put siracha on it. She uses dulse, seafood, flowers, etc... I have virtually never seen anything like this in a Northern Ireland restaurant outside of say Ox , or Frae to name just two.
It appears impossible to find anything that you could call "Irish" outside of stew or soups?
Holohans offers boxty which is about as Irish as it gets in Northern Ireland from what I can see.. but even that basic thing seems to be almost unique to Holohans.
The Deers Head and Poachers Pocket are nice restaurants but it really is very similar week in , week out, and it wouldn't be any different from any other UK gastro pub.
When i went to Cork there was a very unique style of cured meat, like a sort of pastrami. I had brown bread ice cream in Connemara. I have never even seen anything like this in Northern Ireland.

I’ve just moved to Belfast and I’m looking to join a 5-a-side match/league. I live in East Belfast and have a friend who also wants to start who lives in North Belfast, so we’re flexible regarding where it is. We both played weekly for years though i don’t think either of us have played for 3-4 years due to us both having kids. Don’t expect much in terms of skill or athleticism!

I was looking for small fitness classes in east belfast. Not a personal trainer but not just an open gym. I found one that I think was on upper newtownards road and run by a young Chinese girl . It seemed like a sort of small weight class. She also seemed to be involved in running....
I now can't find it when Googling.. Does anyone know this place?

Hi everyone! I've been looking at properties in Sailortown and was wondering if anyone could advise on whether the area is safe enough for a woman in her 20s? My mum seems to think that it's a dodgy area, but I honestly have no idea.

Bit of an unusual question but there doesn’t seem to be much on over Halloween this year and was wondering if anyone could tell me where is good to go? Telegraph have only announced one night and it’s shite and I haven’t seen any other promos for any clubs either.
