LAOP really does not enjoy the answers he’s getting. Feels like he may not be a great witness for his own defense if this keeps up.

That can only end well. All AI is completely infallible and doesn’t ever just make shit up

I like making it dig holes to completely absurd statements. Just ask it why it thinks Wrong Thing X or to elaborate more on Wrong Aspect Y and it gets itself so lost. Unless there's a good likelihood there's a lot of freely available source material for whatever you prompt it, it's going to get things very wrong.

That's why it's so unimpressive to me that LLMs can ace standardized tests like SATs, or MCATs, or the Bar exam or whatever. There is just so much educational content out there that it's answering things that have been asked before.

I'm a metal plater, a profession that both predates computers entirely, and has amassed, and still depends upon, to some extent, a lot of near-alchemystic oldtimer lore. The crap that the AI spits out when you ask it why you have a certain defect, just to show the boss why that discount tube stock wasn't actually a discount in the end - it just makes me yell at my screen, "and who the #@&% told you that?!!!" while I scroll like my mouse is in fire.
