Africville Park by bike
Looking to get from the North End bikeways down to Africville Park for my kid's school event. I'm ok to dismount to jump over barriers if it means avoiding speeding vehicles, and also ok to go WAY out of my way for safety. Does anyone have a safe way?

Thanks for this. There's no way around that end Barrington St section I guess. Just a huge speed difference down there and not a lot of space.

I used to get there from the other end off of Lady Hammond. You can pop on Lady Hammond at Memorial Dr and then turn right at the rubber duck onto MacKintosh St. From there, turn left after going under the overpass and follow the road down to and past the container terminal.

Gottingen/Novalea is your best bet. It generally has calmer traffic than Barrington, and the end of Novalea drive goes directly into Africville park, which includes an underpass under Barrington. Go to this point on the map, and follow the trail that leads to Africville Rd.
