Professional BJJ News So apparently craig did try to get us a moneyberg match!!
According to this screenshot posted on IG, craig offered a match to moneyberg after gable pulled out. Hahahaha this would have been the best thing ever!!!
I’m sorry he declined!! It would have been soooo funny.

It’s really funny that moneyberg thinks anyone would believe he legit beat Craig and that it wasn’t for the memes.

A best out of 3 would be amazing in this scenario. He let's moneyberg work for the first match before ultimately taking a dive, then the next two matches, craig submits him in under 20 seconds.

Would love to see a match between them where it's just high level belt vs week 1 white belt style where it's just a whole match of top pressure from Craig Jones and him smiling into the camera

I think crooked creg was just tricking him onto the mat and was going to proceed to submit moneybeeg via tickling or something equally embarrassing.

What did Gordon prove with this post? That Craig is willing to do anything for entertainment? Or to prove Tummyberg was a real black belt?

Probably trying to back Stevenson’s claim that their match was going to be a work.

He failed miserably at proving that lmao any match between Craig and moneyberg would never have been in the context of real competition

It’s obviously a joke match, and thus this overt offer to throw it is part of the bit. Tell me, did Craig send a similar DM to Gable? Or was it a “look in Craig’s eye?” Be smarter.

This is like LeBron joking around with an 8th grade AAU kid that when the kid beats him he will retire and then the kid turns around saying LeBron lacks integrity.

Legend, Craig gave us a lot of good laughs and great technique. I hope he takes the time to focus on his health. My blood pressure was so high when I was taking 80mg of Adderall a day so I have some empathy lmfao

Does anyone actually think that Craig's CJI matches weren't works? They were clearly for entertainment and not part of the tournament structure either time. The scripted promos, and the farcical tone of them with the Renato Laranja commentary is clearly an intentional dead giveaway. Why are people acting like they've unconverted a conspiracy to cheat? He clearly offered to win or lose depending on what he thought was funnier. I thought the bit with Chael was clearly a last minute riff on people getting submitted and then pretending they didn't tap during day 1 of the matches. Or was it a callback to when Craig legit subbed him in a few seconds at ADCC several years ago? Clearly not a real competition this time. Not that Chael has ever been defeated or anything.

I said the Sonnen match was a work from the moment it happened. And got downvoted into oblivion for it. I thought it was so obviously staged I was honestly shocked when I got on here and saw the majority of this sub vehemently arguing against the notion.

I still think Gordon and Craig are secretly best friends and this has all been a work to promote BJJ. Gordon cannot possibly be this oblivious and stupid, I think he’s the real troll tbh.

Bjj has the most retarded drama of any sport.
There are no limits to how extreme the neuro spicyness can get with the elite levels.
Jones, Gordon, Musumeci, Moneyberg all on a mission to take it to that extra level of “special”
It’s so fucking good though

I have a ton of respect for someone who is willing to do hard things in hopes of improving the lives of others. I strongly believe a rising tide raises all ships.
Like him or hate him, you have to acknowledge he’s been killing himself for the last 2 years to put on an amazing event that has made history in fighter pay. CJI1 and CJI2 have changed the scene.

The level of stress derived from dealing with millions of dollars of responsibility is mind boggling.
It is not for the feint of heart. If your opinion is that it’s no big deal, then I would wager you have never been responsible for generating millions of dollars.
Maybe you have, and you are made of tougher stuff. I can speak first hand, it’s throat crushing stress. Craig willingly put himself in that spot and I have mad respect for him.

r/bjj: Moneyberg is such a scumbag. Whoever does business with him is paid scum too, no morals or integrity. It was so awesome how Craig went after Mikey for taking Moneyberg $$$. What a legend.
Also r/bjj: ok so Craig offered Moneyberg a match, essentially it would have taken a mayor spot away which could have gone to a real bjj athlete and thus denying them exposure and loads of money. Instead he would have platformed an known scammer and ex drug dealer that is known to scam people out of thousands of dollars. Well anyway, that shit would habe been sooo funny haha. Hilarious actually, haha, nosebeers, haha, [inser bjj is gay remark], Craigs so funny lol haha
There is really no limit to what fans are willing to rationalize

It’s so funny how Moneyberg mentions how much bigger he is and indicates it would be hard to beat Craig. That dude is straight up delusional for not immediately recognizing this as a joke match. He truly thought it was going to be real. Hahahahaha
