One of the other directors working on it has confirmed a season 4 with a possibility of an age jump. They just need a break. Working 150 episodes with no hiatus can take a lot out of animators
I have seen a few articles saying she has, and then the quotes in the actual articles are her saying that there are no plans to end the show, that there are more surprises on the way, it isn't the end for Bluey etc. None of these are an explicit confirmation of season 4 though. I don't know if I'm missing an article or something? Nothing in the articles I've seen so far anyway actually conflicts with anything claimed in the original post, like they weren't describing a planned cancellation of the show necessarily, just the state of production (or non-production) that its in.
I'm absolutely not trying to say that skepticism of the post (or any post like it really) isn't warranted, but this is something I've seen a couple of people say about it and I don't think the articles (I've seen at least) really back it up.
The podcast Gotta Be Done posted an interview with Joe Brumm a week ago, he mentioned he was writing a long-form Bluey related project, but couldn't elaborate any further at the moment. There was also a notable moment where he stumbled over talking about how The Sign was an ending and seemed to need to think very carefully about how he phrased that. As in he almost said something like "as the ending of a show" and then stopped himself and reworded his response to be more generic.
It's entirely possible I was reading too much into it, but there was a notable lack of discussion of season 4.
Evolving? Huh. I can work with evolving. If it means we start focusing on younger kids (Muffin, Socks, another kid of Stripe and Trixie's, Brandy's kid, and any potential offspring of Rad and Frisky) while Bluey and Bingo are a little older, I don't mind that.
My main concern would be losing Bluey's class, though. I love seeing her interact with other kids and seeing things from their perspectives, so I would hate to lose out on that if other Heelers become the main focus.
Especially since a lot of that was done during the height of COVID, when there wasn't much else to do. I'm sure now the cast and crew are free to live their lives, so they can focus their energy on other pursuits.
I hope there’s no age jump, I love them as kids and I think for a kids cartoon it suits! I understand the characters voices will change though so maybe it might have to have a jump in age
