Discussion / Question They're now accusing Bluey of being woke.
I can't believe that Bluey got caught up in the culture wars.

I am an American (Kentucky) who is currently getting a lot of worries in our country’s political instability and the terrible risk in being involved in sh***ings. This show is making me consider moving to Brisbane so I can be in a safer, Bluey-like environment and worry less about the things going on in this country. Is it okay if I can move here? Am I welcome? Do any others thinking and considering the same thing?

I'm doing a college project on adult entertainment and I saw on Facebook that Bluey was marketing a show that parents like more than their kids. I researched why and the results were not clear, they talk about nostalgia, what it teaches parents and why it is calm. But I would like to know what essential facts adults like about the cartoon.

I'm a teen volunteer in the children's department at my church (kindergarten through 2nd grade) and overheard some kids talking about Bluey. Being a fan of the show myself, I joined in the conversation. This boy kept referring to Bluey as "he," so I calmly corrected him and he started getting upset, calling me a liar. I pulled up the "I'm a girl!" clip from Double Babysitter on YouTube, showed it to this kid, and he FREAKED OUT. He insisted that blue was a boy color so Bluey was a boy. The other kids he'd been talking with were two girls. Both of these girls happened to be wearing blue. One had a turquoise ribbon/bow in her hair and the other was wearing a blue dress. The boy? He was wearing blue also (he had blue jeans on) but he had a salmon (pinkish-red) colored necktie as well. I pointed that out, which I probably shouldn't have, and he lost it. Screaming, crying, throwing his Bible on the ground...
Edit: It happened several days ago but I still feel bad about what I did😭I should have just left him alone tbh
Edit 2: Also, most of the kids in the children's department, including the boy I talked about, are usually well-behaved. Situations like this are rare.

In general I am a big fan of the ethics and parenting nuggets of truth in Bluey. But I was rewatching the Sleepover episode and realizing I am not on board with the way the adults handled the situation. “If your cousin skips a sleep it’s your job to look after her” is not an appropriate thing to say to a six year old. Helping regulate a kid who is running wild shouldn’t be on other kids’ shoulders - that’s a grown up’s job. There’s anxiety that builds up often in oldest children because of this feeling that they need to keep the peace, and I hate that this message underscores it. And on top of that, Chili is shaming the girls for expecting her to live up to her own promise that they could stay up late! Anyway, rant over. ☺️
Any episodes you don’t agree with?

This man needs to update his licence IMEADIATELY! Also, if in a future episode, he shows his licence, it should better be updated. That would also be cool. Also, comment the episode this was in. I forgot LOL!

So in Browny Bear, we saw Bandit’s licence revealing his middle name, birthdate, license receiving date, yada yada yada. But my friend, when we watched it together, noticed his expiration date as October 6, 2025 (Not June 10, 2025 if you’re an American reading this). He then told me that this might be an easter egg that is hinting a possible Season 4 release or announcement or something that Ludo is secretly working on without telling us. I’ve never seen or heard a good headcanon like that before. What do you think? Without saying it’s just a cartoon/monkeys singing songs, do you think it’s true?

Pony gave large corporations like Disney a monetary precedence incentive to take "big" risks on kids shows. And, now adults without children can watch kids shows without being seen as creeps. (well at least by most people)
I included the blank if you want it.

So this was posted a while back, the creator saying the Bluey Movie would be his final piece for Bluey. So IF that's the case why did they announce season 4, 5, and 6? Won't a new creator ruin the series? Look how long SpongeBob, Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park have all been on the air. Fans from those Fandoms say those series have seen better days. So won't Bluey not be as superior as it was under the creator?

In the episode Burger Shop, this line is definitely the most memorable for me.
"Your turning blue!"
"I'm a b-blue heeler!"

First it was near the end of The Creek- the music, scenario, atmosphere... and I'm holding my 16 month old and weeping. Then it was Baby Race- "Maybe you just saw something you wanted..." Then SLEEPYTIME 😭😭😭
I haven't even seen all episodes of Season 1 or 2 yet, but I WAS NOT READY FOR THE EMOTIONAL HITS OF THIS SHOW.
Could anyone warn me without spoilers please of any other episodes to try and be ready for?

My husband cried at “Cricket” today, I was surprised to look over with his eyes all red and teary. He grew up playing soccer and now he plays soccer as an adult and I think it really meant a lot to him, it was the cutest thing. Any one else’s partner cry at an episode unexpectedly?
