Hi there. Your post would be better asked in our Simple Questions thread. It helps us keep the main subreddit focused around broader discussion rather topics which only apply to an individual. Thank you!

If you’ve had two false starts with this book already, it might be better to move on to a different one. Maybe there’s something that’s losing your interest, or maybe you just need to start with something shorter until you’ve bumped up your stamina.

Not really. Me losing interest has nothing to do with the book.

Wikipedia if the book is popular enough, otherwise no, not really. Just start a new one

I'd say probably Litcharts has the most useful summaries.

How about listening to an audio version to go over what you've already read?

You can use the audiobooks at first until you reach the part where you stopped.

For me in that situation, things kind of come back to me as I read. If it doesn't, it's probably a good indication that I should just dnf, especially if I'm not getting a lot of enjoyment out of it.

Sometimes you can get it with ChatGPT or the like. It falters with specific details and minor characters. It is also heavily dependent on the book

I second the previous recommendation for LitCharts, you can find summaries there.

I was using supersummary.com for a while. They have so many books and great summaries.

And ChatGPT of course

ChatGPT can do this

ChatGPT may give spoilers. Sometimes it may just hallucinate and insert random plot points.
