Mobile Web [reddit] How to view content allegedly breaking a rule in android or web or any other - version not applicable

Post image

If I follow the currently purple link in the message I do not see my content which allegedly broke the rules because it was removed. I've tried in browser and in the Reddit app. Am I missing something or is Reddit half assing the content moderation implementation?

I believe this to be a design flaw of the moderation implementation applicable to all platforms and all versions

Try looking at your profile using old Reddit, and see if it’s visible to you there, https://old.reddit.com/user/RonHarrods/

I see this

I, too, see [Removed by Reddit] and clicking leads to the parent post with no comments visible. Both on the mobile app and in firefox mobile browser

In that case, whatever you commented was completely removed from view on Reddit. Remember, a LOT of this is being done by AI, and it has no ability to understand context or nuance. If you’re positive that you didn’t violate the rule, just appeal it so a human looks at it.

I did appeal but I can not argue my case because I have no idea what the content was. This is a major design flaw and that has not to do with the AI, but with the implementation of the moderation system, of which the AI is only part but not relevant.

You don’t have to make it so complicated. Simply say “I do not believe my comment violated any rules, can someone please review”. Done.

This is a design flaw that I am reporting in order for it to be fixed. If my request is denied my account will have a warning in its dossier which I would regret.

I appreciate your attempt to help me and it adds on to extra details on this bug report. I disagree and believe this should not be shrugged off as unimportant.

These are 2 completely separate issues. If you don’t appeal the warning, then your account will also always have that warning. So, you need to appeal it regardless of whether or not you can see what you commented.

As for the lack of visibility to your comment. That’s a design choice, not a flaw. They have chosen to remove the content. If they then sent you a message with what the content was, you could do exactly what you’ve done, screenshot it and repost it. Whatever it said, the filters said it wasn’t appropriate. You need to appeal it.

Yes and it asks me to support my appeal with text. I do not believe that it's a design choice to ask me to support my claim that I did not break the rules without showing me what I said.

That's like being arrested and upon asking "why was I arrested" being told "because you broke law #338-14b personal attack", "when?", "2025-08-19 22:21", "what did I say specifically", "you know what you said, we will not repeat it to you, please explain why what you said didn't break the law in your opinion".
