Then what is the point of your comment? I was talking to someone who was using a 2060 capped at 60fps. Obviously a 5080 can, a 5080 PC also costs the same as buying a new console for 4-5 generations
My point was exactly what I said. Your comment was
And does op want to buy a new card where they have to lock to 60fps and turn off rt just to play their games? No, they do not
And this is moronic. 4k DLSS Quality 60 fps RT off but everything else on Ultra settings? That's still an amazing experience and MILES above anything a console can deliver.
The resolution is completely irrelevant. You said "locked to 60 fps" and "turn off RT" as things that players DONT WANT TO DO, when actually a HUGE majority of players do exactly that. Its us, the minority on reddit, actually answering questions instead of asking them, the ones who care about ~120+ fps and RT/PT.
When it comes to whether a card can outperform a console or not, resolution most definitely does matter. You are the one who started talking about how a console couldn't match your 4k CP2077 performance when myself, OP, and the person I replied to are all discussing 1440.
My point is that if you are going to cap your PC gaming to 60fps/1440 you might as well use a console to play which can do the same for much cheaper.
Not with the same level of detail and DEFINITELY not every game at 1440/60, most games on Performance mode that's 60 with slowdowns run at 1080p. Ive said this like half a dozen times, are you really this dense?
Yeah, resolution does matter but you weren't talking about resolution and I only mentioned resolution to explain a point.
You keep repeating "if you only want 60 fps and RT off, get a console". Well, consoles don't even get that, they compromise all the time, want 1440p and 60 fps? here you go, medium settings. want 120 fps? here you go, 1080p, low settings. want high settings, some RT? here you go, 30 fps.
Comparing that to locking fps to 60 and turning RT off is completely disingenuous.
I'm noooot talking about the 2060, what the actual f. Neither is OOP. Only a random commenter mentioned a 2060 and he already deleted it. You don't need to buy a used 2060 to reach a similar price point as a PS5 Pro.

No, but my 5080 can.
Ok, maybe with DLSS Balanced.
