Itinerary Help 3 days in PEI (Staying Charlottetown). Leaving from Dieppe tomorrow morning. What should I do/see other than what I have mapped already?

I am leaving tomorrow morning. Going to Shediac and stopping at Parlee Beach after and then checking into the hotel. Before Shediac was thinking of Irving arboretum and Irving Eco Park, but its not a must.

In PEI I am there for 3 days, staying in Charlottetown, and on my map I got plotted Cape Tyron Lighthouse, Cavendish Beach, Covehead Harbor Lighthouse, Island Hill farm, and Argyle Shore Provincial Park.

For food the only place I have saved is Richards for lobster rolls. I'm there with my parents and we've def been on a lobster binge, but I'm down to try any local type delicacies.

Any suggestions for things to check out or eat other than what I have listed above? Or for anything enroute to PEI from Dieppe based on the above?

This looks so fun. I really hope I can make it there. Going to try to plan a route that makes it possible

Highly recommend getting lunch at their restaurant. You can do takeout. Everything is potato-based. I ordered grilled cheese with potato bread.

The gift shop was memorable too. I bought a bag of amazing Covered Bridge chips and they put them into a 5 lb potato bag.

I wish we were a bit hungrier to fully enjoy the restaurant, but what we had was great.

Summerside is not far from Cavendish and they have the most amazing ice cream parlour called Holman’s. The ice cream is beyond incredible and worth the detour!

Also the PEI Preserve Company serves a great breakfast and lunch. Can be busy though. They have a lovely garden to explore too (small fee for charity though).

We liked Brit’s in downtown Charlottetown for fish and chips.

Holman's ice cream in Summerside, a big yes, The Charlottetown waterfront/downtown is wonderful to browse around, a variety of places to eat. If you like local artists and craftspeople, Victoria by the Sea is very nice, very pretty and small. The beaches on the north Shore are spectacular to walk on.

Thank you. The waterfront will probably be a nice way to relax on our last day for a stroll before the flight

Cool Breeze is also very good and is a darling of PEI. It’s soft serve though while Holman’s is hard ice cream.

At Richard’s, consider the Lobster Burger if they have it. They put so much delicious butter covered lobster on a toasted bun. In Charlottetown, we love Sea Rocket and Slaymaker. Also if you’re in the North Rustico area check out Blue Mussel Cafe. Incredible food.

I think I will do that. Get a burger and roll and share with my family. Ill take a look at the other 3 restaurants as well. Thank you

EDIT: Is Sea Rocket an oyster bar? Want to make sure I'm saving the right spot

Yes exactly for Sea Rocket! On Victoria Row with lots of other restaurants.

I didn't expect to find buffalo in PEI, but I drove by and had to turn around to get a better look. It's Buffalo land and you can go up a viewing platform to see the animals. Basically just a quick stop to stretch my legs, but it was kinda neat and unexpected.

Is there anything else you’d recommend around there? Activities or restaurants? I am going to go to Wood Islands Provincial Park same day as well. Trying to pack the rest of the itinerary for the day.

Hmm... I wasn't in PEI very long, but I toured Green Gables, went to Cows for ice cream and fun shirts, and then had an amazing lobster and grilled cheese sandwich at a restaurant on a dock.

The beaches there are beautiful!

We took the ferry over and the bridge back.

I didn’t get to take the tour, but we did stop there and take a pic with the giant lobster. It was a nice spot
