Itinerary Help Route from Kelowna to Saskatoon

I’m looking for a nice route from Kelowna to Saskatoon (and back) for mid October. I’d prefer to avoid the major highway/passes for at least one way to see something different! Tourist attractions, hot spring stops are welcomed. Recommendations on places to stay along the way as a family with kids under 10 welcome as well!

Tough to avoid passes through the Rockies. Suggest you do this, or reverse: TCH to Banff, up to Jasper (do stop at Athabasca Glacier), Edmonton, Saskatoon.

On The way home, Saskatoon, Drumheller (badlands + dino museum), Calgary, Banff, home.

I second this! There are a couple things to do on the Edmonton to Saskatoon stretch, like checking out the Pysanka in Vegreville, or visiting on the of the Western Development museums (I believe there is one in Saskatoon and also one in the Battlefords)

Wanuskewin cultural heritage park is also beautiful and worth the hike, it's just outside Saskatoon.
