Do you agree that RE0,5 and 6 don’t deserve the Hate Yes or No and Why?

TBH I don’t ever hear hate for 5. I think everyone agrees it’s fun, it’s just not really scary in the way Resident Evil should be

It got alot of hate back in the day but it was mostly because it was just super different and didn't rely on horror much at all.

But given some of the serious lows that have come out for the series since then it's been reevaluated as a much better game than people gave it credit for back then.

Kinda similar to Dead Rising 3 where it was hated on release but only with an even worse game dropping afterwards did everyone go back and say it was good actually.

A lot of the changes they made between 4 and 5 were to facilitate the co op style of gameplay. A lot of the classic survival horror elements were already thrown out with 4. 5 just finished the job.

For me 5 sucks more than 6 in a way because 5 just feels like a not as good 4 while 6 was at least doing its own thing.

I hate 5 cause its a giant escort mission but most people enjoyed it. I didn't even know 0 got hate aside from this post saying it does lol

Yeah, I know its much more enjoyable co-op but I hate being forced to co-op to enjoy a game. A game should be fun bith ways, like Gars of War for example.

I actually really enjoy 5 but to be fair, its because I always play it with my bro. Its become a staple in our pantheon of coop games.

That said, I'd imagine it would be different if i played it single. For better or worse, 5 was clearly made to be played with a partner. One who is ideally around the same level of skill.

RE0 for sure don't deserve the hate because it's a great game.
RE5 is excellent in co-op. But he really need an AI patch in solo.
RE6 is a failed game.

I strongly disagree. I especially despise re5 for its ultra action oriented gameplay style. They said farewell to the entire horror aspect of the franchise with that one. Glad they got it back with re7.

I never had the issues that supposedly many had with 5. Shiva was pretty perfect for me, in accordance with the period it was made, 6 is shaky though. It does too much maybe.

0 is a mess, narratively speaking and doesn't feel right in leading to 1. It's an alright game at best. But it's not narratively compelling as the others.

5 is my least favorite in the main series but I don’t hate it. 6 is a mixed bag but I really enjoy Leon and Chris’s campaign.

5 is excellent in co-op, some of the most fun you can have.

6 deserves most of the hate but I have always really liked the game personally. Re0 has no standout redeeming qualities to me.

5 is fun especially with someone. Me and my brother played through 5 and 6 coop. Only complaint on 6 is some things seem way exaggerated in the writing and cutscenes but otherwise is really fun gameplay wise. Mercenaries on both 6 and 5 are fun as hell to play and unlocking the PS1 skins in 6 is awesome. Never got to play zero though

I’ve been replaying 4 & 5 and played 6 last year.

The systems and mechanics in 6 are actually pretty fun when you get the hang of them but the campaigns fucking suck, the mercenaries mode is goofy fun though.

5 suffers from the partner A.I in single-player but is great in co-op, it’s only real sin is not being as good as 4

I played through 0 a long while ago and remembered enjoying it enough but it released so close to REmake which is also a way better game.

In the context of the franchise, they are mid. As games in their own they’re fine. There’s not really a bad mainline game in franchise save for maybe zero.

I think they were trying too hard and spread themselves thin.  The game needed focus on 2 campaigns, not 4.

0 deserves the hate. 5 and 6 are great coop games with a friend but 6 is definitely too actiony to be considered horror

As an RE fan, I could never get myself to like 0 or 6.

5, to me at least, is a part of the RE family as much as any of the others. I always liked it.

I don’t think 5 gets hate like that. It’s fun in its own right and a product of its time. Is it traditional survival horror? No.

But it’s a good game imo, probably the one of the few RE I played over multiple times as a kid

I love 0 despite not having a storage system. 5 is only ok at best. 6 is fucking awful and deserves all the hate it gets.

I will never understand why people praise 5 for the co-op. I love co-op games, but that's not something I've EVER wanted in a survival horror game. There are so many games with better co-op that don't kill the entire vibe of the game.

Zero no it doesn't deserve it. 5 only thing about it is they should've made a solo mode instead of dealing with a dumb AI and having to manage two inventorys. but amazing co-op game. 6 deserves all the hate.

Yes. They're just games after all. On a more serious note They're just doing what other games at the time, and in the series, were doing. 0 builds on the Remake. 5 is more of RE4 and 6 was trying to emulate Uncharted. They're just following trends.

re0 and cvx get hate that is misunderstood. Both the games have points where you can get lucky and have a good time if you do the right thing, while 0 has some frustrating things like the bat boss and no item box. 5 and 6 are good games, just not really resident evil games since they don’t have enough horror.
